Hey, sorry to resurrect the thread, but I just encountered this error.

I was incarcerated at the Sepulchre. I saw that my ship was impounded, and I was given the option to free it for 0 credits. Although my 'payment' was accepted, nothing changed, and when I accessed the terminal again it again stated that my ship was impounded. (I tried this a few times, to no avail.) I thought I'd try to get a different ship, but I wasn't given the option to select another.

I hired a shuttle to try and get to my ship by another means. When I checked the galaxy map, it said that my ship was on the planet where I died. So I went to the settlement I died at.

On arrival, I went to where my ship had been parked. By this point I knew something was wrong so it didn't seem like a big deal that it wasn't there. When the shuttle left, however, I noticed that I could recall my ship, so I did. When it landed, I tried to board, and the game crashed.

Have been seeing a few cases where the ship is left floating about in the system rather than getting ported to the detention vessel, and that's what this sounds like.

Go to the elite dangerous folder in your steam library and run EDLaunch.exe, sign in there, let it load up completely then close it and run elite dangerous on steam and it'll prompt to login on your account, press and you're set.

Appreciate the update. Will need to look into this behaviour it seems as that's certainly not expected.

Hi there. We do seem to have had some issues with the store, specifically affecting password resets. Sorry about that!
If you've not already done so, can you make sure you update the ticket you submitted to indicate you've been able to resolve this? Just so we don't end up resetting your password for you again or something!

Hey all.

There were some authentication issues through Steam yesterday that should now be resolved. Sorry about that!

If you ever get prompted to manually sign in when you wouldn't normally, try a restart of your Steam client. Ultimately though, it'll likely be an outage between ourselves and Steam and not something you can brute force. Always avoid drastic actions like reinstalling, and either wait it out or drop us a line in support to find out what's up : )
