Hey guys, thanks for reaching out.

I can confirm that we are receiving an increased incidence of “Error 500” responses. Our Portal team is aware and currently in the process of diagnosing the issue and putting out a series of fixes. As such you may experience intermittent usability issues.

Will keep you updated!

e: Looks like the team has solved the issue! Please report in this thread if you are experiencing those issues still.

Thanks for participating in this mass test! 2 million skill points have been added to the participating characters on Singularity.
We identified a few small issues, like those missing explosions, and we will have another mass test about this in a few weeks.

Hey! Singularity has been updated with a few sound-related fixes and is ready for the mass test.

We are currently aware of following problems:

  • Some sounds can stick around after they should be ended (for example Afterburner and MWD, if zoomed out, while they are turning off) - no need to report this further
  • In some scenes the audio can feel a bit empty - we are interested in feedback for this, if this is acceptable or bad in specific settings

If you encounter any other audio-related problems, then please mention it here (and possibly also during the mass test. If it is a bug, then please send also a bug report.

Hey, Singularity has been updated today with a bunch of fixes. This should hopefully fix the problems with missing sounds (especially ECM), but it will probably not fix the sticking sounds.
It would be great, if you could give it a go and see if this also works for you.

Some of the issues, specifically the ore reprocessing skills, were fixed by updating the SDK that the app pulls from so the app itself may not have needed an update per se while still receiving an update.

If you are still experiencing the issue where skills are marked as “Mutated Drone Specialization”, you may want to uninstall the app and re-install it. I know it’s a cliché, but that issue has been addressed.

Comment

The rules for Singularity are clear: nonconsensual PvP outside of M-OE is strictly forbidden.

The punishment for this is a ban from the Singularity server. Trying to evade these bans to escalate may include a ban on Tranquility, as well. Spying is fine, but disrupting practice by killing ships or shooting others is strictly forbidden.

We are in contact with Deutsche Telekom about this issue. Based on the symptoms observed and previous incidents like this, then this will get fixed; but it’s impossible to tell what the timeline could be.

Comment

There have certainly been updates, with the most recent one earlier this year addressing the skill issue. The EVE Portal team is aware of the issue with skill queue lengths causing problems, and while I don’t have a timeline for a solution I’ll do my best to keep you updated! I can confirm that our most recent chat with the EVE Portal team was yesterday.

Thanks for all the details; happy to hear that Proton VPN is working as a work-around for now. Connecting via Netherlands (most likely Amsterdam) is a good choice anyway since it’s on the route to London, where TQ is, and it is a big network hub. What the VPN does in this case is just to reroute your network traffic away from the problematic area, which appears to be somewhere in München.

Comment

Yes, running the batch file commands continuously in the background and then on disconnect try and see if the traceroute changed at the same time (scroll through the traceroutes and see if the last few ones are the same or not).

Very interesting, but this network route instability will ...

Can you do us a favour, please, and update that ticket with a traceroute with VPN on and with VPN off?

MUC is Münich and FRA is Frankfurt. Interesting to hear that the disconnects might be linked to a DTAG network route to Münich. Have you been able to get a traceroute while it is connected to MUC?

Tranquility and Singularity are not in the same country, not on the same network, not with the same hosting or network providers, and are protected by different DDoS protections.

For a good...

That’s very interesting. Can you give us more details about the circumstances, where you experienced this? Is this happening all the time or just in specific cases? For the case that it is only in some cases: How many objects (ships, drones, structures, asteroids) were around you, when it happened?
Please send also a bug report about this. Thanks!

Note: We have also already noticed some missing sounds in some cases, but it was much more limited.

Edit: Oooops, I just noticed, that you already sent bug reports. Thanks a bunch, I’ll take a closer look tomorrow.

I’m glad to hear that many of your have been able to resolve or mitigate the issue using a VPN; that builds a case that the underlying root cause is somewhere on the regular network path from your home network to Cloudflare.

A web page is not a real-time system that keeps on ticking. It is state-less and will just stay there until you come back. If you disconnect from EVE then the simulation carries on and we must re-connect you with your session. But the simulation won’t be in the same state as when you left. In fact, as soon as we detect that something is amiss, then you are automatically emergency-warped away. Your web page doesn’t...

¡Gracias!

Hi everyone,

This is part of a much bigger proc...

What we are initially looking for is basic debug information so that Deutsche Telekom and Cloudflare can investigate this issue:

  • Your geographical location, your ISP details, and other relevant information about where and how you connect to the internet. If there are any patterns to the disconnects, please let us know as well.
  • The network path from your computer to Tranquility: Run tracert tranquility.servers.eveonline.com from a Command-Line Window, save the output in a text file and send us.
  • Your network details and how you connect to Cloudflare: In https://web.ccpgamescdn.com/aws/community/eve_network_diagnostics_v6.zip then you will find a file called eve-network-diagnostics v6.ps1, which is a Windows PowerShell Sc...
