Hi madmitch,

We're sorry to hear it happened again!

Let's try to check your game installation to make sure that there are no corrupted files causing the problem. To do this:
  1. Right-click the game in your library
  2. Go to 'Properties'
  3. Go to the local files tab
  4. Click 'Verify integrity of game files...'
If the issue continues, can you please try and repair the Steam Library?
  1. In the top-left corner, click on the Steam menu
  2. From the menu, select Settings
  3. Navigate to the Storage tab on the left sidebar
  4. In the right-hand pane, click the three horizontal dots next to C:\Program Files (X86)\Steam
  5. Select Repair Folder
Please then follow the on-screen instructions and let the library folder be repaired. Then test whether repairing the folder fixed the error.

Get back to us when you can!

Hi [CFr] Beri74,

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue.
We've moved your thread to report a problem so we can help further.

There is a current issue with settings, etc resetting, the team is looking into this.
As a workaround the following may help:

Please can you make sure that your settings file is not set to read-only.

You can find it in :
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\HLL\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\

Left-click to highlight, then Right-click the gameusersettings file - properties - make sure read-only is not ticked.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause in the meantime.

Regards,
Team17 Support

Hey 🎮Shinigami🇮🇱,

Thanks for getting in touch with us - sorry to hear you're having issues with your VoIP.

Can you please try updating your audio drivers? To do this:
  1. Open your Windows Device Manager by opening the Windows Task Bar
  2. Type Device Manager in the search field and press Enter
  3. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers drop-down menu
  4. Right-click all devices and select Update driver
Additionally, deleting the following folder: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\HLL and allowing the program to regenerate the files may help to bring back your VoIP.

Note: After this, you will have to reassign your Settings and Keybinds.

If your router is using IPv6, we would recommend disabling that option. To do this please go to your router settings and find the IPv6 option - it can usually be found in advanced settings - then disable it.

To do this on Windows 10:

Could you please share with us a screenshot of the error?

To take a screenshot, please make sure, that you have Steam Overlay enabled in your game
  1. Go to Steam -> Settings.
  2. Click the In-Game tab.
  3. Check "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game"
  4. Go to Library.
  5. Right-click on the game title and select Properties.
  6. Under the General tab also make sure "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game" is checked.
In the game, press F12 to take a screenshot. Then press Shift+Tab to bring up the Steam overlay, and Upload your screenshot, make it public. Then simply include the URL of your screenshot on the forum (it should look something like "http...sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=...")

Hey Goodzi,

Thanks for getting in touch with us - sorry to hear you're having issues with your settings not saving.

This is a known issue and the team is working really hard to solve it.

In the meantime, can you please make sure your GameUserSettings file is not set to 'Read Only'? To check this please go to the following location:
  • C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\HLL\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Then right-click the file named GameUserSettings.ini and select Properties. Then make sure that Read Only isn't ticked and that under the Security tab, both Read and Write are allowed.

Some players have reported that this resolved the issue for them, so please do let us know how you get on!

Hey daltonestone43,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

The friend's section is only loadable when you have friend's online and in-game already on Steam.

There is no friend list on Hell Let Loose as it pulls from Steam itself.

So you would need to have Steam friends online and in-game to be able to load the friends list section.

We hope this helps!
