Almost anything is possible at some point as we're planning for a long life cycle for Last Epoch. However, that being said, we believe checking loot and making decisions is still an important part of gameplay. We don't want the filter to restrict shown items to only items that are a 100% guaranteed upgrade where if you see an item its an item you keep/use.

Yes, we are doing multiplayer as fully server authoritative.

It will apply to the entire channel that consumes it. The first tick is often appears larger then subsequent as the damage numbers have to play a bit of catch up for the first one. Note that it's "increased" damage, not "more" damage, so is additive with other sources of increased damage.

Without seeing your exact character, I can only make assumptions as to what’s happening - however I have a strong belief what’s happening is that you have the corsair set, and have the apostacy passive point in the bladedancer tree.

In Last Epoch, conversion only happens once. You cannot step something through multiple points of conversion.

So Corsair’s is converting your normal glancing blow chance to block chance, then apostacy is converting your dodge chance to glancing blow chance. As conversion only happens once, corsair’s will not also grab the glancing blow chance created by apostacy since that’s the result of a conversion already.

The timeline for wider multiplayer testing availability depends on the outcome of the tests as we progress and expand the tests. So we cannot provide a specific timeline at the moment for this, however there is a possibility for wider multiplayer availability around this mark.

Welcome Travelers to our May Development Update for Last Epoch. It has been a little while since our last post, so oh boy, do we have a lot to share with you today. We are going to be sharing our progress on several big initiatives we’ve been working on, including multiplayer, visual and combat polish, and performance. The problem with the current stat screen is, if the modifier is conditioned in any way it will not register for the total. Say you are wielding an Axe and you have "35% chance to bleed while wielding an Axe" on gear/passives. It will still show 0% chance to bleed on the stat screen because it is not generic Bleed chance. Same with Totem cast speed. Minion cast speed will show, but Totem cast speed will not be included. They will update the stat screen (boys at EHG will give us what we want, in time) but for now, I would use lastepochtools.com and I would calculate it myself.

P.S. EHG have stated that they do not intent to allow 3rd party tools to math everything for us (like Path of Building) but they do intend to make things much more clear in the future. They want to keep a semblance of curiosity towards builds, and not make it some math competition for just bigger numbers.

Hello! I just want to quickly provide an updated clarification for this. While it's possible we may have made comments in the past which inclined to this opinion, or a statement may have been misconstrued, that's not representative of our current stance. In fact, we are currently looking into creating API's to further support third party tools, as we think they're an amazing tool for the community, and really enjoy how these kinds of tools and community sites can bring everyone together.

The statement which may have been misunderstood is that we are not planning to include dps calculators in game: though we are working on expanded skill information pages as we believe it's important players have the relevant information they need to make decisions for builds.

Thank you for the great feedback! We’re certainly looking at these very things behind the scenes ourselves and reviewing them, but having this kind of feedback from the community as well is fantastic! While others may not agree, I personally see this feedback as a win from the event perspective since it shows that at least part of the community (yourselves) did enjoy the core idea, and had investment into it to the extent of making this kind of feedback.

This community designed unique event has been a bit of an experiment in this kind of thing. We’re not aware of an event like this having happened before, particularly with this much creative control given in the event. Overall, we’re very happy with the level of community involvement, and the results of it, but like any time you do something for the first time, there’s certainly aspects that could be improved upon. Once the event concludes, I might write a post discussing this, however we’re certainly analyzing the same kinds...

We have an internal "just-chatting" channel for the team and it's basically a digital folder of pictures of the team's cats. I'd put a heavy bet on this answer being yes.

For clarification: The unique effect is a community member’s suggestion, and it being a “flagbearer’s spear” is an interpretation of how the unique effect works - it’s not coming from our unique design team - as we might normally mention the intention behind the design had we designed it. The art is something from our team, which is based on The Lost Refuge being a combination of many Eterran cultures creating makeshift weapons as a last stand against the void.

Hello Travelers, and welcome to the fifth week of the Community Designed Unique event!

Last week we posted the poll for what the item’s Unique Effect would be. For this poll, the community came up with some really exciting ideas. I saw a lot of people talking about theorycrafting and different potential routes each of the unique effects could take really showing just how great these unique effects were.

As the poll came to a close, it was decided that the unique effect will be:

Volcanic Orb is converted to Void damage
+Directly Casting Volcanic Orb grants a stack of Corrupted Heraldry
+Chance to gain a stack of Corrupted Heraldry when hit by Volcanic Orb Shrapnel
+Gain X% movement speed, X% increased mana regen, and +X spell void damage per stack of Corrupted Heraldry
+All stacks of Corrupted Heraldry are lost upon using a movement skill
