Do you have item tooltips toggled off? It’s on the Z button by default, it won’t show in the settings menu with the other option you mentioned.

The intended cost is 40, we’ll update the tooltip. It’s worth noting that modifiers to mana cost (like the -x mana cost on sceptres and staves) will apply to this now. Thanks!

This is a known issue with pre-existing characters due to the changes we’ve made to skill XP. You currently have more points than the number of levels-- once you level up a few times it will work as normal.

Is this a recurring problem that is temporarily fixed by restarting the game?

Awesome, I didn’t think that pagefile would affect it but it is good info to have.

What are your main system specs? (CPU/RAM/GPU, also SSD or HDD)

All of these were working as intended internally-- do you have the Life Tap node picked? It seems there’s a bug with it that could be causing these issues.

If not, could you post your log files and a screenshot?

Is this trying to make a character with the same name as a previous character?

0.7.8 included a passive respec due to the changes made, which would make you lose access to those skills. Have you re-allocated your passives?

Yarrrrrr. That sucks, let’s see what we can do to figure out what’s going on. I know this is going to sound like a weird one but could you try allocating a bigger page file size temporarily to see if that changes anything. Would it be possible to see if the timing of the crash if affected by the graphics quality setting?
