This is a known issue, apologies for the negative experience! We have a planned fix for this, but unfortunately it requires a larger technical change for the skill to be fixed properly, so it likely won’t be ready for a 0.7.7 hotfix.

To address your point about nerfing vs bug fixing-- in 0.7.7 we made some technical (not balance) changes that inadvertently made Aura of Decay far stronger than intended, completely trivializing content on some builds. By fixing the bug, we returned the skill to the power level it had in 0.7.6. We’ve heard the community feedback that Aura of Decay doesn’t feel strong enough for the investment you have to put in, so I’m sure we’ll revisit it in the future.

I’m not certain if the fix will work for characters that are already experiencing the issue. Try talking to Elder Gaspar in the Council Chambers.

Could you post screenshots of your Aura of Decay tree, passives and gear? I’m not certain if it’s intended for Time Rot to apply to yourself, but I’d like to look into what’s causing the increases even if we change it.

I’ve tried this on a character with an unspecialized Aura of Decay and this does not happen. Once I recreate your build I’ll be able to narrow down what’s causing the issue.

Thanks for the report!

What game version are you on? A fix for this was included in 0.7.7b. If you’re on Steam the game should update automatically (if allowed in your settings). On the standalone client, make sure you run the Launcher, rather than the game directly.

Thanks for the report!

I agree it’s not proccing 35% of the time, I’ve made a note to look into this internally. Thanks!

We’re aware of the chat currently being unreliable. For what it’s worth, the problem is typically with how the UI in the game client works, rather than the server not working. The issue doesn’t happen consistently, which has made it difficult to track down and fix. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Comment

Sorry about this! Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to restore characters as they are stored locally (or on Steam Cloud).

We are currently working on resolving the cause of these issues.

This is a known bug, primarily with Wandering Spirits. We have a planned fix but unfortunately it likely won’t be in a 0.7.7 hotfix. Apologies for the trouble!

What game version are you on? A fix for this should have been included in 0.7.7d, but if you’re still having the problem on the current version I’ll look into this.

I can see the images fine.

We’re still looking into the cause of problems where the character ends up in the wrong spot when entering a zone. However, for most people restarting the game solves the problem.

Comment

Do you have the Exigency node? If so, this is a known bug with all instant cast spells-- they trigger Echoes despite not having the right tags, and trigger an echo of the last valid skill used.

Comment

We believe this bug is caused by Wandering Spirits specifically. We have a planned fix, but it’s a larger technical change that likely won’t be in a hotfix patch for 0.7.7. Sorry for the trouble!

Comment

Thanks-- we do have another fix planned but it’s a larger technical change. Unfortunately I don’t think it will be resolved in a hotfix patch for 0.7.7.

For now it seems having less spirits/minions reduces the problem, though I recognize that isn’t a good option.

I don’t think this is intended, I’ve made a note of it. Thanks!

I’ve just tried to reproduce this issue and haven’t been able to, but I have found a potential cause that I’ll look into.

Can both of you post a screenshot of your Maelstrom tree? In general when reporting a skill issue it’s very helpful to have a screenshot of the tree so we can try to recreate the problem exactly. Thanks!

Thanks for the report. I’ve tested internally and what seems to be happening is that the health and damage buff from the Great Vine node is stacking on each vine you summon, so each vine is stronger than the last.

Comment

The stat being shown in the character stats window is “increased chance to find potions”. The way potions drop is more complicated than a flat chance at certain points, so instead we grant a stat that acts as a multiplier. Compare to something like “increased ward retention”.

That being said, there are some bugs with how the display currently works, and I have it noted down for us to look into.

Thanks for the follow up! The sound issue should now be fixed as well.
