Does your attack/cast speed still increase? It doesn’t look like it is from that last screenshot.

Whether Time Rot should be applied to yourself is a different question than the bug that was increasing your speed.

Could you post screenshots of each staff, ideally while holding ctrl and alt? Also a screenshot of your character sheet with each would be helpful. Thanks!

You aren’t actually able to change your Mastery, so opening the panel again won’t do anything. However, I do agree that it should at least show the right masteries. Thanks!

I actually used to stream development a couple years ago. We have talked about doing it again. I’ve actually recently re-set up my OBS. We aren’t committed to doing it again yet but it’s definitely a conversation we’re having. Is this something people are really interested in seeing? What sorts of things would you like to see the most? Lots of what I do is kinda boring because it’s mostly just sitting in the code. We also have to be careful to not undermine too many social posts.

I would say it’s technically a bug (which we’re aware of) but if you summon the Golems from scratch (either because they die or you un-equip the skill) it works correctly. Thanks!

Could you upload the whole Player.log file? There’s some directions in my last post. Thanks!

So, I read the initial post but I haven’t had a chance to read the whole thread. I’d just like to shed a little light on one of our design goals with this system. This isn’t a hard fast rule and this system could change but this is just where we were coming from when it was designed.

  1. We want players to be able to respec their builds if they feel like they have made a mistake. We don’t want people to feel like if they make a decision, it could be a wrong decision and absolutely need to go look up a build before making any choices. I love Diablo 2 but before they added respecs, when I was a kid, I would level up without spending my skill points and look up what to do. Ideally we don’t want people to feel this restricted.

  2. The time investment for respecing a skill should occur after the decision to respec happens. This means that you can’t save up some resource to be able to flip your build on the fly. If it was possible to quick swap your build, you c...

The actual bug here is that when the base duration was changed from 12 to 15, it was done incorrectly. I’ve fixed that now internally, sorry about that!

Comment

Sorry about this! We’re aware of the issue and have a solution planned. However, it requires a larger technical change so it’s unlikely to be ready for a 0.7.7 hotfix, unfortunately.

Comment

Sorry about this! We’re still investigating the problem. However, in the majority of cases restarting the game allows the zone to load properly and allow progress.

Thanks for the report! This is something we expect to be improved over time as we make performance improvements.

We’re aware of some skills being more performance intensive, and skills being used for the first time can be worse because they need to be loaded. 5-10 seconds is far longer than I would expect, perhaps you’re using a hard drive rather than an SSD?

I’ve confirmed the issue with Unbalanced Scale, thanks for the report!

Fissure is working fine for me and we’re aware of the ailment issue.

Comment

Ohh I see. Unfortunately there isn’t a way to remove an invalid tree once it’s been specialized. Very sorry about that! We’ll make sure to prevent these issues in the future.

Comment

Hmm, I’m not having this issue with those passives and skill points, so screenshots of all your gear and idols would be the next step.

Though, before that, can you post your log file from a game session where this happens? I assume you’ve already restarted the game at this point but I’d be interested in knowing if it’s still happening if you restart after despecializing Aura of Decay.

Please re-read this.

We haven’t said any of this anywhere.

Literally the only thing we did was clarify that 0.7.8, not 0.8, will be our next content patch.

I’m closing this thread because this post was very misleading and I need to make sure that people see that it is not accurate. Please try to avoid spreading misinformation in future.

We are building a game that we want to give new players a positive experience so that they convert into long term players. People who have 1000+ hours have pre-existing knowledge of the systems which skew their experience. We do take experience with our game and experience with the genre as a whole in to account when considering feedback from a player.

If a new player says “Skill A is so underpowered” - but we know that it’s the key to the top performing build on the ladder. So, while their feedback that it’s underpowered is “wrong”, the fact that a new player feels that it’s underpowered probably exposes a different problem. Maybe the skill is not intuitive to use or the thing that makes it strong is buried in some obscure combo that converts an element and ailment to be able to work together using several uniques on weird classes or something. Thus their feedback is very valuable to us.

This is one of many examples of valuable feedback from new players that experienc...

A player’s experience level does not make their feedback more or less valuable, simply different. We value feedback from first time players. We value feedback from 1000+ hour players.

I probably should have locked the thread a while back. The recent stuff is great but the conversation as a whole has not been healthy.

Before this goes much further, I recomend reading the Code of Conduct.
