Heya Reddit! I'm Riot 5oda, and I work on the team that brings you all LOL Esports Drops. With Worlds 2022 Group Stage in the bag, I want to take a second to respond to some of the comments here and elsewhere!

For starters, thank you for watching and participating! Every year we try something a little different in the design, with the goal being to reward you all, our awesome fans, with some little prizes along the roller coaster of Worlds! Worlds is a fun time without prizes, but who doesn't love prizes? We love gifting little meme-inspired icons and emotes, and we know you all love to collect them across the globe! This year we decided to level that up a little with a nicer way to screenshot and share those drops, and the team and I have been cracking up at the memes and the way you all are using them to tell the story of Worlds this year, both on social media and in game.

I'd love to (and probably will at some point)! In the meantime, Wild Rift's writeup at a high level is similar enough to what we do on LoL PC, though they are a bit more modern than us in a few matchmaking areas.

I can: they don't exist. We do our best to balance queue times and fairness for every game, biasing more for queue times in more casual modes and fairness in the competitive ones (ranked).

Fair matchmaking doesn't mean no streaks and no stomps, and there'll always be areas for us to improve. But there's no wizard behind the curtain intentionally predetermining your games.

I would like to formally claim 'first' for this skin idea about 6 months ago.

Hey all! As part of our tech checks, we discovered that during yesterday’s show, the sync between caster commentary and gameplay drifted a bit. We’ve made adjustments and will continue to monitor closely.

Separate from this issue, but related: sometimes YouTube sync can drift a bit on its own, which is resolved by refreshing the player/page.

worlds skin theory

the joke is that MF support was picked as a specific counterpick to Zyra support a few years ago in SKT vs ROX and we've seen it be picked in solo queue ever since then, including times when it simply wasn't good, because it was seen in pro play

EDIT: also SKT vs ROX is still one of the best series ever, you should watch it if you haven't
