Not to sound greedy, but does this also mean the rest of the stuff in this capsule will come every month?
Yep

Hi! I'm Reina Sweet (aka Riot Reinboom), Lead Game Designer for Modes.
We're bringing back Ultimate Spellbook to the PBE soon. For this run, the mode will be active on PBE for only a couple days for patch 11.22 and then will be on for the full duration for patch 11.23 - the intended launch patch. This update will carry quite a few changes and many new ulternate summoner spells!
New Ulternate Summoners (with more to come with 11.23’s PBE cycle)
No Longer Available Ulternate Summoners
Ulternate Summoner Balance
All changes here are inherited from changes to the original spell, except the reduction of Bonus Ability Haste for Ashe R.
... Read more External link →I see your point. From a purely balance standpoint, as you alluded to it would make more sense to push him in the direction with a higher win rate and more consistent play style as that would lead to less of a disparity between pro and regular play. As an avid attack speed Varus player, i would like to mention a lot of us prefer this play style over lethality but we’re definitely not in the majority.
It just feels bad to have the champion nerfed for a play style you dont support at a level you dont play at.
EDIT: i forgot to mention i feel as if you could still support his lethality build without it being his primary build right? Thinking something akin to Zac who has some ap ratios if you desire to play him ap but its an off meta build. Varus’ kit feels so chopped and changed right now. Why not had an AS scaling with his E? Or more on hit dmg on W.
Yeah it's definitely painful, and thats why I dont think his current state is wholly sustainable. Sadly it's not the kind of thing I can just snap my fingers on and find a perfect fix
Why not push Varus away from the lethality build? Nowadays that seems to be the only build on him that unbalanceable and abused in pro play the most. It is the least interactive one with arguably less counter play.
This is a hard question really, Lethality varus is fairly unique and a lot of players love him so it's a high cost to just delete it.
Yeah we'd have a more balanced character, is it worth it?
This isn't to say the current state is ideal at all though, imo the character could use some larger work
Welp, happy for Renekton players, I like those Yuumi nerfs as well, but that Varus buff... it just buffs lethality Varus again, doesn't it?
That Rhaast buff is pretty big apparently, but I'd like to know how good it actually is since you do still miss out on a lot of free AD because of the loss of Goredrinker's Spite passive.
Lethality varus is ~3%+ worse than AS Varus right now. I know it always feels a bit rough when we tune one build up and down and leave the other alone. In Varus' case the AS build is the consistently powerful one but the lethality one is the popular one (including for pros).
When we gonna see Senna buffs ? Her rune glacial is not working any more for her :(
I think we're wait-to-see on Senna. There's a lot of shakeup in the new world so we're gonna followup if she ends up bad or whatever but not do a bunch of stuff to anticipate that
Where's the Renekton buffs? :((
Thought they'd make it for this deploy. I'll be putting out the full list later today with Renekton and everyone else
Based on this year's group stage yes, LPL isn't far better than LEC/LCS.
But remember that LPL/LCK is usually better in BO5s because that's how they run their league (a lot of BO3s). the west instead plays bo1 all years which I believe gives them some advantage in groups.
Counter-point: LEC/LCS play far more bo5s. For example, Cloud9 played more bo5s in this year than GenG did over the last two.
Also missing from this analysis is the MSI championship and two world finals from LEC. Yet this year they generally failed. Is this because their source of scrim partners dried up? Or are we overreacting to one year of results?
The LCS is a consistent weak performer. The LEC is not. Yet they have similar access to CN/KR practice.
This is actually not as bright as intended. It's meant to make your champion invisible.
Memory budget? I am curious, how does it work? Every champ (or skin) has a limit of the amount of memory it requires? How does that work with champs with multiple forms (Kayn), multiple objects (Annie + Bear) or who are complex (Vex + Shadow). Does it counts traps and skills (Azir army, Cait traps, Teemo Shoorms)?
Honestly I am not the most qualified to give you an ultra-detailed answer, but in general, we require that all champs / skins come in under a certain amount of memory to ensure that we can hit our min spec reliably and keep the game running optimally for as many players as possible.
wow if its not a bug thats a pretty big scam if i have to say
Circling back on this post - this VFX was temporarily removed due to some last minute issues we saw with our memory budget on this skin. We should be re-adding it soon now that we've had a chance to optimize it a little more and get it on target.
That history of Cloud9 segment was so well done. I've followed C9 and they've been my favorite team since 2014. So many great memories watching this team, excited for today.
Thank you so much! Graphics team did an amazing job, script and delivery from Azael was spot on. Really happy with this segment, felt it set the stage for C9 and highlighted their history at Worlds.
Super cool and well done thorough analysis! I very much appreciate you making this post!
Hey OP!
in league I am like silver and I am missing core aspects of the game, anyone else switch from dota?
This isn't so bad. Silver is average at the game. Since you've only recently just started playing again, that's really not bad, especially when you consider a good chunk of players never make it to silver.
I don't know a whole lot about DoTA2 but my recommendation would be that you go into each game with a defined goal. I'm a mid laner so I can only advice there, but usually I would aim for something like "hit X cs per minute", "don't die to a gank", and then focus most of my effort on that. I'm sure it's the same in DoTA2 but in order to climb you don't need to be popping off every game, you just need to be consistent.
If you're not already familiar with all of the champions, I'd also recommend looking up the champions you'll be up against on something like lolwiki during champion select, and paying close at...
