Interesting you’re asking for that much experience. Sounds like anyone under the age of 30 can’t apply… are you looking for an Equality, Diveristy and Inclusion Manager to aid your employee experience and recruitment processes as well?
For positions this senior we're looking for candidates with a lot of experience doing this sort of job or similar work, given how much that sets people up to be effective in a challenging role. We also frequently post entry and mid level roles which don't have the same requirements but can be part of the same career path.
Age is not something we consider when creating job descriptions, assessing candidates or in any other parts of the process.

It's certainly worked in the past for what it's worth! We've had some great folks join Riot, both those with experience in the industry and those new to it, starting with posting/discussion on Reddit and other social media :)
Q is already rivaling the R max builds actually on live. QE it is.
Riot is just not looking into the data.
I am actually looking very closely at the data
Do you have this bookmarked? What a classic
Nah I just know it comes up when you search “Azir LS” lmao
The anguish only a Renekton pick can produce.
You meant to say the anguish only a Morellonomicon can produce.
As the LEC script writer. Do you have any influence over the world's script? Maybe whisper into an ear of the World's script writer that Eu should make finals again?
Hahahaha, sadly, not the scriptwriter anymore, need to change my name, but the name is so good :(
Again y'all are so cracked! All I ever want is more behind the scenes technical stuff on how everyone managed to make this all work, especially the last second euphoria mini talk.
I am unsure how it could get better but the first post covid massive event (if I am remembering correctly) for the lec was a massive hit! Thanks to you and everyone once again for your hard work. It shows the passion everyone has to make the best product they can!
Also thanks for not jinxing it. Odo winning was my highlight moment and I'm so happy for him!
Thank you, really appreciate it!
It's not that much about making it better, but making the process a bit easier for my colleagues.
As a producer, I have so much faith in the team to get things done, but it's more about making the process easier, IE with this EUphoria Recording I already have some notes on how I could have made the coordination and planning better.
At the end of the day, it was the first event in a stadium for me in 3 years, so it was always gonna be a lot of learnings. Right now I'm just happy with the result, and then I'll look at my notes when I'm back :)
Yall smurfed hard in Sweden! It was a hype weekend and as a Rogue fan getting extra interviews and players chatting was emotional and hype! Thanks again for such great work!
I had so many favorite moments, was incredible
I had been picturing the Odoamne INTW right after the game for months, I even told Laure after game 1, "I think you'll do this interview today" - luckily didn't jinx it haha.
The opening with the Rekkles Broxah rock paper scissors on D1 was fun, quiz was fun too, all the fan interviews were great, Opening Ceremony was INSANE, win moment was insane, all the fan activations in the breaks with Frankie was great - there were so many great moments, that although I know I have tons of things I need to learn from on a personal level, I felt so proud of the team, and myself for not letting them down.
"I'm sure [the fans] were thinking about leaving and going to another team"
Not for a f**king second man, the low points just makes the highs higher, and I always believed in the boys.
Loved this special episode, thank you to the EUphoria gang for putting this one together and giving Trymbi enough room to kinda speak his mind, a really well conducted interview
Also lmao I loved the insight of "If you have to take Braum or Tahm last pick, something went wrong in the draft", that's probably a really accurate assessment of those kinda "band-aid" champs that are more taken to shore up a weakness rather than push your compositions goal.
This makes me so happy to read; we had a video crew on site that worked super hard to set everything up and deliver the files + an editing crew in Berlin that worked on audio + video overnight to get it ready for release today.
Also want to shoutout my boss and lead producer, who did a lot of the communication in setting everything up and finding the location at the top of the arena, and our Production Crew on site that prepped the room for us.
And, of course, thank you to Rogue and Trymbi for joining us for this recording, love all the answers he gives, and really appreciate him taking the time to speak to the fans both here and PGL + the press conference after, even after playing back to back series.
Also huge props to Drakos and Caedrel, who joined after casting the final - would love to do this, or something similar again next year!
AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THIS SUCH A GOOD EVENT - THE FANS, THE PRODUCTION CREW, EVENTS CREW, REFEREES, ...
Read morethey don't feel confident in doing a "super team" anymore and will use TL structure.
Considering their academy team is stomping it seems like their domestic talent scouting/building system is pretty damn good, would personally love to see TL use that to pack a super promising domestic trio around 2 of the best imports that can find to compliment it. Similar to EG, I think that hybrid system historically works great for NA better than trying to stack a full team of the biggest names you can find that seems to clash against each other more often than not no matter the region.
Obviously doing well at Worlds with a full domestic roster is the dream, but until LCS gets near it's former glory with tons of hype and 500k regular season viewership again, I just don't see that happening soon. If Riot/Jackie can make the game pop off that hard in NA again tho...perhaps we'll see another S4 C9 type roster again.
We're sure gonna try for that! And to the below poster's comment... I believe our players can rise to the occasion. We had player meetings a few weeks ago to talk about the future and what we'd love to see from them and hopefully together we can do that.
i want to let you know, emily rand is amazing at what she does and y’all need to treasure her at all costs. the girl loves league of legends from all around the world and you can clearly tell it’s more than a job to her, it’s a passion.
She absolutely is a treasure :) She's told me more about what other leagues are doing and more about the ecosystem than anyone so far I think.
Job well done.
Thank you 😭💜🤝
LCS has been by far better than LEC this year from content to production
While I appreciate the sentiment, both leagues are wildly different with different content and production approaches and we've been trying to collaborate and share across both regions to make the best productions possible for our fans in our respective regions. Hopefully it becomes less so LEC vs LCS etc and more unique in how we each approach building something for our fans in our home regions and we can appreciate awesome production in each! 😍
As someone who attended in person, there were quite a few issues with the pre-show things in the United Center due to rain on Sunday. Very poor communication from Riot, leaving fans out in the pouring rain for a half hour after telling them to go to a specific gate, and some other issues.
As for the actual games and show, the orientation of the screens made it quite difficult to watch at most points. I was in one of the corner sections and do not think tickets should be sold for those sections, it was that bad.
Overall though, had a fun time, and I agree with most of the comments about production value being high
We're really sorry about that. It's always difficult working with a huge venue when thousands of arena staff and production are scheduled around certain times. An outdoor Fan Fest is always a big risk and unfortunately Saturday was very hot and Sunday was torrential rain. We tried our best to communicate on social and to adjust the arena hours/opening the next day to try to be flexible but as I saw in person, it was still very trying on many fans. We're really sorry about your poor experience with the outdoors and the screens and are absolutely looking at addressing that for the future.
Agree. LCS really stepped up. I know some casters hang out on reddit and have been quietly taking the "feedback" that we all have. I hope those folks see this and can be proud of their improvement. I was a complainer as well, but I'm fully on board now. Don't stop tho. LEC has a super cool vibe as well and I think you can learn from each other.
I don't love the costream limitations. I actually love watching matches live on the riot stream and then rewatching youtube costream highlights (sneaky's editor mvp). I tend to think the costreams make me double dip more than choose between casts.
The casters/talent have been a HUGE part of our internal feedback sessions and they have discussed/suggested many things you all talk about here :)
This is an absolutely lovely thread. Thank you for taking the time to write it, especially given your feelings on LCS in the past. It absolutely is a team effort and not one person at all. I could disappear and the show would go on as the production team/staff have been doing this for years and are true passionate experts in their craft. I am really happy to see people notice the little things we've been trying to do and testing in advance of next year for the new vision we have for the LCS. We'll keep listening and learning -- these kind of threads are really encouraging for all of us, especially coming off an event where many worked around the clock (in the heat, rain, etc even!) to make the fan experience special.
Thanks and I hope you continue to give us a chance in the future. 💜
can you just disable autofill in masters+ (or even diamond+) because games with filled junglers are going to be even more unplayable and encourage hostage taking selects
Autofill needs to exist for reasonable queue times unfortunately. There are some recent under the hood improvements we've made to team role parity and planned work for hostage taking I hope to be able to talk about soon.
We have changes to autofill protection planned for 12.18, this part going out a little early on its own is a bug.
Yep sorry, I did actually get it wrong. I went back to the VODS just to double check and make sure. In my mind I just remembered it was an Australian caster, and it was actually Medic casting alongside Spawn on Day 3 of 2019 Worlds Play-ins.
I don't want to spread more misinformation than I have, so I also peered back through the Reddit threads back then and could find this comment in regards to the friction in their casting, where Medic also responded.
As for the comment about 'challenging' each other, I can't seem to find it. It's possible it was through Medic or Spawn's Twitter that I saw it.
All g, I figured it was someone else from the same country I just knew almost assuredly that it couldn't be me specifically haha.
I think your point is super valid regardless!
