I can in fact read this. I'll also say I usually do a wednesday or Thursday episode as well that's either on a new topic or is more of a preview of the next week. Appreciate the comment though!

This sucks and we feel you. The short answer is that we want players to feel like they can win on their favorite champions. Even for the champions that quickly dominate pro when they get near 50% (Lee Sin, Ezreal, Akali), there's a middle ground where investing time into a champ feels like its worth it.

For Gwen, we took a stab at doing a small change (i.e. no mechanics work) to see if we could reduce her pro power without hitting her too hard in normal play. We missed and that feels bad. But we do plan on looking at how we can make champs like Gwen reach better winrates without dominating pro, but they take longer time (see Irelia, Akali level work we did last year).

These goals exist for other champs too like Ryze/Azir/Aphelios, but history has shown that these are very tough projects with even tougher solutions. But for the most part, we do not want champions to sit at a 45%-46% winrate just because of pro and we are often investigating better solutions.

Also here's the Danny tweet: https://twitter.com/DannnyIoI/status/1500614993082937344?t=JzcTIIlwuS9vDq5SYhZWWQ&s=19

Big yikes but he's not wrong.

Looks like the data I was reading at the time for games played in Champ Q was unfortunately doubled. Sorry about that! These should be accurate numbers now: https://oracleselixir.com/cq/leaderboard

I think the games played they quoted were wrong though. They said Jojo played like 370 games but https://www.championsq.com/ shows him at 196. Even https://oracleselixir.com/cq/leaderboard which they quoted has him at 196 so im confused

Damn. Yeah I made that mistake. I was looking at OE data last night and unfortunately it looks like it was doubled at the time of video creation. Definitely creates a different context for the conversation

Thanks so much! Although surely you know how this all plays out since you wrote the script?

Of course.
