Nailing it off the cuff is an art form, better you than me lol.

Sounds like you're just trash at it. Stay bronze, my friend.

Kinda like Panarin in the NHL if that makes any sense here

The official wording is very clear. He played a split in a worlds-qualifying league.

It’s the age old question. Caps was called a rookie, so was BB. Both played in turkey before they came to their respective LCS (Caps joined before the rebranding).

I don’t know the LEC rookie rules. They would not have been rookies in the LCS if they played (iirc) half a split in the TCL or LCL similar.

Thank you :)

Hey, off topic but are we getting more Angry Phreak this year? That's been a highlight in the LCS casts imo. Love the honesty and realism.... You've come a long way from "tons of damage" and I for one am HERE for it!

It’s a trait I want to keep but I’m still figuring out the tuning and frequency.

Was Fudge deemed a rookie in the lcs officially even if people didn’t view him as one?

And if so, what’s the requirement for a player to be viewed as a rookie by the league?

No he wasn’t.

Am I… and I about to be in a /r/DontYouKnowWhoIAm screenshot?

Fudge played half a split in oce and went to worlds. Then played a year of academy. So less than half a year experience in a minor region and then academy isn't a rookie? What?

LCS league rules dictate one split in a Worlds-qualifying league is your rookie split.

LPL league rules dictate one split in the LPL is your rookie split.

Dude played in a league and qualified for Worlds. He’s wasn’t a rookie.

I can't find any evidence after searching all map. So isn't clear or not if we are able to finish right now and we waiting for new missions.

Is it possible to complete "search for evidence" or not?

Thank you

Hi, yes there will be one piece of evidence per day from Sunday through Thursday (for a total of five). So as of right now, two pieces of evidence (Streetside Cafe and KJ's Lab) are available with more coming over the next few days.

This issue is still going on, it's very frustrating and probably wasting a lot of peoples time looking to complete this "semi-unlocked" quest not knowing its locked.

This is the first quest where it sounds like you're saying you have to wait even though you already started it. There's no indication the second half of the quest is timelocked so we're left with the ambiguous instruction "search for evidence" fine combing the world for something that doesn't exist.

Quest progress for reference https://imgur.com/a/dtPbaHp

The support page also doesn't go into detail about what quests will be timelocked/when they'll unlock as far as I can tell, so that doesn't help unfortunately.

Yep this is a gap in our design and good point about the About page not providing a detailed explanation here. In the future, we'll definitely take this as a learning and for now, we are weighing the options for any quick solves here to de-confuse things. In the meantime, I will share that new mission will unlock each day from now through Thursday, each providing a new reward (VAL, LoR, TFT, LoL). Sorry for the confusion and thanks for raising this up as an issue as it effects other players too!

Oh I had no trouble. But this interaction (getting no info that the clue quest is on hold for a while) is exactly what's confusing to people. They'll run circles searching for clues, many of them won't put an end to this chase, won't look at side quests until they finish the "main quest".

Ah gotcha. Yep, players running in circles here is absolutely not the intent and this is a great learning for us for future projects. For now, we are weighing the options here and really appreciate you (and others) raising the volume on this mission's step!

and more streaming-based ones.

I would not be surprised if that's the case, but I hope not

Streaming-based games comes at the expense of "owning" the hardware, which means you tend to get ads shoved into it (hi oculus!)

But just the idea of gaming in VR sounds annoying and too much an effort, for something I do to relax. Also let's be honest we are no where near full MMORPG based on VR.

This is how I felt when I first got VR but you get used to it, and then you realise that it's a lot of fun, allows you to interact with virtual worlds in a really unique way and you are exercising while doing it. Besides, not every game has to be super intense physical activity (see: No Man's Sky).

There are some games which are just fun fencing/combat simulators like Until You Fall and Blade & Sorcery, which are very strenuous. And then there are others like The Wizards: Dark Times which are more storybased with limited combat which isn't nearly as energetic.

I'm going to have to try Orbus, Zenith doesn't appear to be out just yet

This is if they are on a 5+ year development cycle (from now not inception of their project), hardware for it will become more common which would aid accessibility. It will literally also be a new gaming paradigm they would create to be the leader in the next generation of gaming platforms (VR). I think why push out into a crowded space when you can reshape the entire MMO industry and be the market leader for PC, mobile, and VR gaming across multiple genres.

Speaking as a player of VR games and not as a Rioter here (I am not working on the MMO, in charge of any game development, or indeed working on any game), I don't personally feel like VR is mature enough or accessible enough for an MMO yet. We're barely seeing companies investing in (triple A) single player experiences. The hardware to have a competent VR game is still really expensive, with the only alternatives being things like the Oculus Quest with onboard hardware, subsidized by ads. That, and there's a pretty heavy space requirement too.

I would love to see a VR MMO (Though, a VR MMO would likely have to be substantially different from what we consider normal MMOs to be like), but I think it's got quite a way to go before we start seeing triple A multiplayer games on VR, let alone massive multiplayer ones. I'd also be really interested to see what a control scheme in a VR MMO would look like, given that MMOs tend to typically have many more buttons to press than stand...
