How does your other PTO work? Is it looked down upon to schedule your own vacation now that riot has multiple company wide breaks? What if they don’t line up with when your family can take time off? I’m torn between believing this is actually good and not a trick by riot to reduce other PTO used.
I've only been here for about a month so this break has been planned for a while from what I understand.
If you are wanting to take some days off that is not scheduled like summer/winter break, as long as you have clear communication with your team, its totally ok.
I have never heard anyone mention anything negative on scheduling your own vacation because of how chill it is here. Everyone is on top of communicating.
I even see people who on short notice say they wont be coming into work that morning because they felt sick or had an emergency/appointment to take care of. The response from what I've seen is "Ok! Take care of yourself, let us know if you need anything"
If that person had anything they needed to take care of that day, another Rioter in the same discipline would cover for them or they would just continue when they got back.
