Somebody asked on Twitter about this other project of his and he said he might announce it “later this year.”
He announced it an hour later.
haha it was just a coincidence... the "other project" I mentioned was not the board game. I'm still a video game developer first and foremost!
I'm aware of this issue, but I really don't think it has to do with the update. There were no changes in the update which would have affected this, and people were reporting the issue before the update, too. Also, some people are saying it just starts working again, and wondering if there was a patch to fix something -- there was no patch. I think it has to do with the underlying matchmaking servers that are run by Steam & GOG. It could also just be that some people have firewall, antivirus, or other systems that are interfering with multiplayer, and there are more reports than usual right now because the update just came out and more people are playing the game than normal. I had this issue happen to me, as well, and I got it to work by closing the game, going invisible or signing off steam, then opening again, and possibly repeating a few times. Eventually it just worked.
You can do it without a mod. Go to %appdata%/StardewValley and open the file called startup_preferences. ctrl + f for "playerLimit" and you'll find something like this: -1.
Change the -1 to any number you like... (e.g. 8). Now you can play with up to that number of people.
Keep in mind every person will need a cabin in order to join. And the mode is slightly experimental, so some things might work a little strangely. The only actual crash I know of is if you try to go to the movie theater with more than 4 people. You have to go in batches of 4 and it will work fine.
Have fun
if you run left off the screen, but just barely, then run down and right so that you are at the entrance below the cliffs, it should at least warp you to a different map. Still not sure why this bug happens!
An extractor would completely take the human element out of the equation. I just don't want to go that route.
The point of the hopper, to me, isn't really for "automation", it's a convenience machine intended mostly for limited use, for example, you can throw your ores and coal into one and then not have to fiddle with grabbing ores/coal from your chests every time you want to reload a furnace
I would also sorely like to know more about why the changes happened.
I'll explain more as soon as I can. OP is correct that I currently don't host or administrate the wiki. I want to be 100% transparent with the community all the time, but unfortunately it's not always possible.
Hey, thanks for sharing, I'm always really happy to know that Stardew Valley has had a positive impact on people's lives. I hope you have fun playing the new update
Thanks everyone, but I don't remember putting this into the game. I think this is from a mod
The arcade machine is part of the base game, but the dialogue is from a mod

I know exactly what's going on. It'll be fixed in the next patch, but for now, once you see Leo's full event chain it will resolve the issue and it will probably make sense why this happened
Are you playing with any mods? These aren't supposed to ever get into your inventory
I don’t understand the mine reward option
Hey, so here's what that means... Currently in Stardew Valley you encounter chests at certain levels of the mines, but they always have the same items in them. Choosing the "remixed" mine rewards makes it so that the item inside each chest is chosen randomly from a set (unique to each chest). So, for example, you might not get the leather boots on level 10, and instead get a weapon, or a ring, or something else. Certain items (like what you get on level 100) are the same no matter what.
Thank you very much, and I'm glad that Stardew Valley has been a positive force for you!
I have no involvement in this game
My birthday is December 3rd
Exactly. ConcernedApe knows how to make a great game, but story progression is not his strong suit.
Part of it is just that I'm stretched too thin to be able to fully realize every aspect of the game. No matter what part I spend my time on, other parts of the game will be neglected. There are definitely a lot of loose ends with the characters that I would like to tie up, such as Clint, Lewis & Marnie, etc... Whenever possible, I've been trying to do that with the updates. For example, I think it was either 1.3 or 1.4 where you could buy Pam a house, and then you get another cutscene with her. I could give that treatment to probably every character in the game, but it would require a lot of work and there are also other parts of the game that need attention, too. After feedback from the initial launch, I worked really hard on improving the spouses, giving each spouse a bunch of unique dialogue, a unique outdoor activity, having them leave the farm to visit town a few times a week, and then giving each one a unique 14-heart cutscene. Of course, there is always more that can be don...
Read moreYup this is true, this was the harvest moon roleplaying server that I've mentioned before. It was created and run by fiddypercent, who was the mayor. I played as Basil. The server had a great community, and it's still probably the best gaming experience I've ever had. It really felt like you were living in harvest moon.
Check out this video of the server: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqxUqT-Gqbs
You can see me at 1:30 attending a wedding as best man.
You can tag him at u/ConcernedApe , he's pretty active on this subreddit and always open to hearing suggestions.
Yes, there will be way to remove cribs in the next update.
