If the AI is still Pathetic on tech on anything like the timescale people were reporting in 3.0.3's beta phase, y'all have.

Yet again.

Done a half-baked job of fixing your messes.
The AI struggling with research is a highlighted issue we're still working on. So we're shoring up it's ability to maintain its basic economy so it's got a firmer base to work with when it comes to research.

Work continues, we just didn't find a robust solution to boost its research in time for this patch.

Unfortunately no, and we apologise to those who had achievement runs ruined like this :C We got the fix out as fast as we reasonably could.

Folks, the OP has made it abundantly clear that they want to keep their suggestion thread oriented toward a Bitter Rivals origin, wherein when selected, you are spawned with a "rival" system that you hate and hates you.

Please do not hijack their thread, start your own if you feel you've stumbled on your own, new idea.

I'd also like to point out that we are not the first company to apply this policy to their forum. Blizzard, Wargaming, Trove etc all have toxicity rules in place to minimize the levels on their forums.

- Will people get a chance to explain their behavior?
No. If you make a post that is classed as toxicity the infractions are permanent. Explaining your actions in a way that makes more sense and is acceptable after someone slaps you for it means that you could have phrased your post differently to begin with. In other words, you should have done that from the start.

- Will you update the forum agreement?
Yes, though it will take a little time. I'm also considering expanding them to make them clearer (though compared to for example Steams ToS they are much clearer ;)!).

- Will you go on a crazy "ban everyone that disagrees with the devs!" ... Read more

Strigoi Tyrannus said: I hope the permanent ban won't be issued easily or as the next step after first temp ban. I don't want the forums to mellow down too much because no one dares to day anything. If that happens, people might just start to make "fake accounts" and troll even more, just because that is the only way to comment and ban means nothing on a fake account. Well, they might keep a more "legit fake account" when making a 100% surely not a bannable post, but when criticising, using a disposable account and being overly toxic compared to what they normally would post.
EDIT: Hope I wasn't toxic. ...

We've implemented a Pilot project on the forum in an attempt to reduce or eliminate the toxicity levels especially around dev diaries.

This post is announcing the new policy, so members are aware and given a chance to control their posting.

WHY:
Paradox has a culture of openness and free exchange with our fans that is almost unparalleled in the video game industry, and it's been a vital part of our success that we mean to maintain. We are proud that our community is so vibrant and active, and will not allow the sort of rampant bullying and abuse that plagues some other game communities to spill over to our forums.

To provide a better experience for our fans, Paradox encourages our Developers to participate on the forums as part of their job, which, in turn then makes the forums a De facto workplace. Our Devs have thick skins, but as an employer, Paradox has a responsibility to provide a healthy workplace free from har... Read more

Greetings all!
We've put together a short FAQ about our new Direct Download feature for Stellaris on the Paradox store!

What’s the long term plan?
Paradox is releasing games on many different outlets and will continue to do so. Adding our own technology for distributing our games lets us co-create the experience around multiplayer, cloud saves, social features and so on together with our fantastic community. This does not mean we will stop releasing games on multiple platforms, rather, we want to enhance the experience of playing Paradox games regardless of which context you choose to play them.

How does this affect the Steam version of Stellaris?
Stellaris on Steam now uses Paradox technology to facilitate multiplayer sessions. Login with your Paradox Account and play MP as usual. This also means that we have added some basic social features in the game which involves friends list and chat.

How do I a... Read more

I am going to move this into the "Other languages" catch-all for the time being. Expect an admin around shortly to figure out what we're going to do. Thanks for being understanding.

Update: Moved back to the Stellaris forum so that updates can be posted. If I can ask that non-English chatter be kept to a minimum that would be great. I hope to have this figured out soon.
