Hi Holotable Heroes!

I hope you all enjoyed the Resistance season of the Grand Arena Championships, because we are about to launch our next season with a new theme, the Sith!

With the major role the Sith played in Rise of Skywalker, we wanted to take an opportunity to showcase the Sith and how they have been portrayed in Galaxy of heroes. The format for this Grand Arena is 5v5 squads (no fleet zones) and on January 23rd you’ll be able to sign up for the Championship and prepare yourself to tackle the new feats created specifically for this season.

The year is 2020 and we have another exciting year of Galaxy of Heroes planned for you! We’re back from the holidays and want to briefly discuss Galactic Legends, some additional content in the next two months, and address some persistent tech problems.

Galactic Legends

Shortly before the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, we unveiled a new type of character: the Galactic Legend. We know you’ve been asking when, where, what, and how, so we’re going to start pulling back the curtain.

Galactic Legends will be both a new type of character and a new type of event with a very different structure than our previous entries. Over the next two months we will be gradually revealing the units required to activate the event. In March, the last batch of requirements will be revealed and later that month the events will become playable. One more thing to mention is that Galactic Legends will be 7* unlocks.

Kit Reveal - Developer Insight

What makes this character unique?

• Poe has a unique debuff, Vulnerable, that acts like the opposite of Crit Immunity, any attacks on the unit critically hit if able. This debuff does not expire on hit (like Advantage) but expires after 1 turn. Vulnerable will not allow a unit to critically hit an enemy if a unit has Critical Hit Immunity.
  
  When an enemy loses debuffs, Poe will remove protection from that unit. This includes if an enemy cleanses their debuffs with an ability or their debuffs are dispelled by a...

This change of dates was supposed to be included in Update Notes but slipped through the cracks over the holidays. Our apologies for not communicating this change in advance. Today’s update fixes an issue with Special Mission Rewards from Territory Battles. This was causing Guilds to sometimes not receive the correct amount of Wat Tambor shards. We are going to monitor that this fix is working correctly and will share the plan for these missing shards in a future post.

We are aware of an issue when completing Special Missions in Territory Battles, including Republic Offensive. Some players are not receiving rewards for Special Mission specifically, the Wat Tambor and Ki-Adi-Mundi character shards. We have been investigating this issue for Wat Tambor and Ki-Adi-Mundi appears to be related. We will update you on when we will send players their missing shards and how we plan to address this issue when we return in the new year. Thank you for your patience.

We've seen some speculation that Galactic Legends are coming soon but Galactic Legends will not be available this month. They will be available in a future update and in the lead up to their release, we will be revealing the requirements over time in game. We will be making an announcement when they are ready as Galactic Legends represent some of most notable characters in the Star Wars universe and are an exciting next step for Galaxy of Heroes.

Today’s update address a minor issue from the Journey Guide release. Journey Guide packs were not appearing in the Find Flow when searching for gear. These packs are set to a low priority in the Find Flow so they will not appear in front of the nodes or other places you can farm this gear.

We will be changing General Hux's kit in an update later this week. After this update, part of Hux's Unique, Boundless Ambition, and Leader ability, Bow to the First Order, will only trigger if he's in a full First Order squad. See below for the updated ability description. Requiring the First Order faction for these abilities removes the unintended interaction we posted about last week and is more in line with our original intentions for General Hux to boost First Order squads.
