I was able to complete the first main (hotel) mission this morning, but then a few hours laters, I couldn't go anywhere. All doors, gates, etc were locked. I've attempted all known remedies and none have worked for me: soft and hard resets, unplugging power and ethernet, and even waiting several hours between.

Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated.

The team is investigating the problem, and we've sent them as much info as we can gather about all the workarounds that players have tried. Thank you for letting me know you're also impacted by this.

I've experienced this same issue where I fast travel to an enclosed location and all the exits are stuck closed. Even if I fast travel to a control point where I'm outside already, the game will crash after a minute or two (delta 3). I am running version 1.0.211.3504 on xbox and see no updates available. I hope this issue is resolved soon.

Thank you for this info. The workarounds I suggested were based on user reports, but I'm aware that these fixes aren't consistent. When I reported this, I made sure to reinforce that it's having a large impact on players.

Even when we can get out into the world many interactables are broken. The map is wrong as well with a great number of activities simply not present.

If those events are relayed to us from a server then that would point to it being server side. It would also explain why we can't leave as we can't communicate with the server to have it create an instance for us.

Different people have been experiencing this beginning at different times as well. I had no problems playing until sometime this morning. While others were having problems many hours before me, at the same time I was playing without issue.

Restarts don't really "fix" the problem as it eventually returns.

In any event its very discouraging to not be able to play a game while not being told why or when to expect a solution. Without communication we are going to assume that nothing is being done. Many people are buying the game due to the current sale and this is their first impression.

Thank you very much for all the info. I was trying to offer workarounds that other players had reported in order to alleviate the issue for individual players if at all possible.

All I can say at this stage is that I highlighted how big of an impact this is having on you and other players when I reported it. I understand that the fixes don't seem to be consistent.

Yes, I even got trapped inside a safehouse earlier. I fast traveled to one, but the doors were all closed and wouldn't open for me.

I just realized you're the OP of the thread, my bad. I'm passing all this info on to the team, btw.

Is there an update under My games & apps > Games > Ready to Install?

I'm not seeing anything. I've restarted my console 3 times today, even unplugged it entirely two of those times, and I'm still having issues. Sometimes I'll be fine for 20 minutes or so at a time, but it always crashes.

Are you also having the issues with Safe Houses/interacting with world objects?

For Xbox players: Is there an update under My games & apps > Games > Ready to Install? Some players have also reported that several restarts/hard restarting their Xbox helped, which makes me think that an update needed to go through still.

For Uplay players, I'd recommend verifying files. I've seen a report or two of this working.

I'm unsure what the equivalent would be for PS4 players, but I would check your Downloads to see if anything is waiting to start up.

My guess is that the update still needs to go through since some players are able to resolve the issue with restarts (which may have the effect of starting the download), but I'll let the team know there's been player reports of this.

Love the ideas that the devs have except for the talent nerfs they are looking at.

I don’t think nerfing the popular talents and buffing the less popular talents is the way to go. Just buff the less popular ones without nerfing the ones people use the most. I understand it’s a live game and things are always changing but talents are extremely important and some talents will just always be better than others.

You can’t just keep nerfing and buffing talents because some aren’t used as much. The answer should be to buff the less popular talents and then evaluate where it’s at. Hopefully they don’t go crazy with the nerfs.

We'll talk about details in the future, I just want to add to this:

The overall thought right now is that some content is too difficult and some NPCs are too spongy. While we want to change (nerf/buff) talents, the overall experience should be that players get stronger.

We understand that some players would like to see only buffs to under performing, but there is concern of power creep and us endlessly buffing talents without actually changing which talents are always used. Please do keep providing feedback on this though, we're not saying things can't change.

Did the team thinking about a pulse revamping? I mean, just spot enemies without any boost is very underwhelming.

Yes, Skills are also on our radar. Not only Pulse.

It's actually an issue when the group drops too many items as a whole. The game starts removing the ones that are furthest away to preserve memory.

We're working on a fix for this and will try to have it deployed asap.

Until then, I'd strongly recommend picking up important loot as soon as possible and not let it linger on the floor for too long. Or at least make sure you stay closest to the important loot.

I only mean that there's a potential for abuse unlike other emotes. "I won't shoot that bugged character model... oh wait. OUCH"

We have a forum post scheduled tomorrow that covers a couple of things, including skills and skill power.

To manage expectations: It's a small update to share some thoughts from the dev team and also give you some more info on what we're going to test on the PTS. It will not answer every question ever asked on reddit about those topics.

We will continue to share thoughts from the devs on these topics that come up on here, the forums, on social, etc., tomorrow is the first try. So let us know what you think.

Tomorrow server side patch during the maintenance. Client patch 2.1 next week.

The folks on the art team told me yesterday that the Black Tusk literally smooshed all the trees when they rolled into Tidal Basin.

I think there's still some signage in the area relating to the trees though. BibleThump
