Hey folks,

Thanks for these reports!

We're currently investigating crashes taking place on Xbox and will update with any news as we receive it.

In the meantime, if your console is set to any of the below languages, try changing it to see if that allows you to launch the game normally.

Swedish, Norwegian, Dutch, Finnish, Danish, Turkish, Hungarian

You can also follow along on the Trello board here for updates to this and other current issues. Thanks for hanging in there while we're taking a look!

Edit: This has now been resolved, thanks everyone!

Hi @VincentVa1entine,

Just to clarify, content is stored at the EA account level.

This means once your account is migrated, you'll be able to use all the content on any platform linked to the EA account, with the exception of platform-specific content.

So in this case, as you've removed your Steam account from its own EA account, that content will not be migrated.

However, since that Steam account is now linked to your EA account containing the PS5 progression/content, you will have access to that from your Steam account, yes. Mako.png

@BuckMaceWindu

Can I ask what specifically you tried?

This sounds like you've unlinked a platform from your EA account, was that the case?

Hey @VincentVa1entine,

Once Cross Progression takes place for this account, you'll be able to access the content (minus any platform exclusives) on both Steam and PlayStation, correct.

Since your Steam account was moved from a different EA account however, keep in mind that no progress or content can be transferred between EA accounts and you'll just have access to the content earned on the EA account where your PlayStation is linked.

Hey @tradigital,

While Cross Progression is being introduced this season, it is rolling out in waves so not everyone will see it immediately.

If your various platforms are all connected to the same EA account, you won't need to do anything else until you see this pop up in-game.

You should see a splash screen similar to the one below confirming your account has been migrated once this takes place.

@Cyph6r101

We haven't announced any specific timeframes for the waves, as this may vary slightly depending on how smoothly this transition takes place to allow for any issues to be addressed.

When your account is migrated however, you'll see a notification pop-up similar to the one below, so you can keep an eye out for that to appear.

Hi @reamquan,

Support would not be able to merge your progress from two separate EA accounts, sorry.

Any transfers between EA accounts will result in a loss of progress, as that progress is stored on the EA account and not individual platforms. Mako.png

Hey @zui-kele,

  I'm locking this thread down as it's not posted in a language we currently support on Answers HQ.   If your account has been banned and you'd like to appeal, this can only be done by contacting our Terms of Service team as described below. Thanks!   https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/information-about-locked-or-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

Hi @The501stWill,

Yes, you will!

That cutoff time just means any progress made on that PC account would not be merged.

You'll still be able to play on the PC account and have access to all the content from the connected Xbox account. Mako.png

Hey @nikz180,

I'm afraid we're not able to assist with any account-related issues on the forums, so speaking with support will be the right choice.

If you check your case history page here, what status is it showing for this case currently?

It will let you know that you can click Continue Case if a case needs to be looked into again, however you shouldn't need to select this option if you'v...

Hi @kamxfps,

I'm afraid we cannot merge different EA accounts together or transfer progress from one account to another.

Additionally, you would not be able to link a Steam account to your EA account if it had a different Steam account linked in the past, sorry. Mako.png

Hey @patooti211,

As long as the EA account with your PSN linked has not had a Steam account connected in the past, this should be possible, correct!

As you mentioned, unlinking an account (in this case Steam) from your EA account will cause that progress to be lost. We cannot transfer progress/content from one EA account to another.

In this situation, getting your Steam account linked to the EA account that already has your PSN linked would result in:

  • Loss of progress from your Steam account
  • Content/progress from the PSN account will be available on all platforms conn...

Hey @ANDRE_P4PPY,

You won't be able to link a different PSN account to an EA account that has previously had a different PSN account linked.

Each EA account can only have one account from each other platform linked, which is likely why you're seeing that error.

This won't give you the option as a result, but you can try reaching out to support directly to see if they have any other options available to help get the correct accounts linked.

@El_Mr_T

The duplicate item portion is addressed in the blog here. No crafting materials as a result of duplicates either, sorry.

I have duplicate content on multiple profiles. Will I be refunded for this?

Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for content acquired multiple times. The content will not appear twice in your inventory.

Your heirloom timer will ...

Hi @Smoothpuff69,

Content from accounts that have been permanently banned will not be migrated with Cross Progression.

If you haven't appealed the ban on your account, you can do so with the link in my first post. If the ban has already been reviewed and remains on the account, that won't be available with Cross Progression either. Mako.png
