the text bug so fun we will never fix it
There was a bug where his Berserk ability 01 would just not fire at all at rank 04. this has been fixed
ALSO - the Bersek ability 01 did have timing and tech issues to fix a longstanding bug
We received complaints about this ability for years that the visual FX did not match the damage. This occurred especially when rotating while firing, you would see the rift on the ground a good distance away from you, but still get hit by the damage and root.
We fixed the rotation issue, and we also adjusted some of his animation and particle FX to match the damage timing better.
The ability deals damage and CC's enemies as the exact same time it did before this update, but now the animation of him hitting the ground better matches the start of the rit FX, and that rift FX better matches the damage.
It seems like this is causing some CuChu mains to feel like something is off on that ability, but we think this should just take a little getting used to an...

Yes we do! as of today we expect the match starting issues AND the stuttering issues to be fixed in Japan. Please let us know how things are going!
We coded, implemented, and playtested this on Baron.
We decided it was objectively unfun. Its the most powerful effect in the game by far. Extremely frustrating and unfun to play against.
We cut it. No plans to try it again. But hey, ya never know.

I would first like to take the time to thank TheBIackEye for being very supportive and helping us for so long. All provides videos are from Japan server, game name domesu, played on PC . First off a BIG thank you for finally talking about these issues.
For the past 2 years or so, it's very common in OCE to get a game of Joust, but once God selection is done, you load in much faster than normal, almost skipping the card art screen, and everyone appears to load into the game one at a time. When this happens, once the game timer reaches ~15 seconds on the countdown, it stutters for a fraction of a second, and disconnects everyone.
Match IDs aren't created, any boosters used aren't refunded, and it doesn't automatically requeue you like when someone doesn't pick a God or something.
I have multiple recordings of this issue I can add in an edit later.
Edit: some people think it happens more often when you're in a party. The times where this happens 5+ times in a row, I have been in parties, often 3 mans. Although I definently have had these issues when solo queueing.
Old games won't do much now as we have too many changes in place.

About 50% of OCE joust games get sent back to lobby as soon as you load into the game.

But first, a little context:
There have been a lot of crazy internet issues this year, with so many more people staying home than usual. One issue that has come up often for SMITE is the quality of our servers in our international regions.
We have been constantly collecting feedback through our community managers, and with the help of the fantastic SMITE Olympians. This has helped immensely as we investigated the issues and made changes to the systems.
The Olympians have made it clear to us that players want a more official update on this topic, and we are here to do that today!
NA and EU have not been a part of these issues. There was a small NA ping spike issue last week that has been resolved, but largely these regions have been running smoothly.

This is correct and we have recently updated his passive description to clearly state this along with the recent healing changes!
Ive been told this is impossible for us to produce because opening the keyboard on a switch requires the game to be paused, and we cannot be pausing live multplayer games of SMITE except through the currently design game pause flow.
Sorry, but it seems out of our hands. The switch its a fantastic console but it does lack some features and capabilities that the other machines have, and HI-Rez can't change that.
I feel like I get what you are saying but just to clarify for myself and everyone, currently you can activate thorns while silenced, stunned, mez’ed, or effected by any other CC that usually prevents you from casting abilities but after the patch you won’t be able to anymore?

I made a mistake on the notes, having it fixed now. The Thorns change will not cause any difference with god ability animations and firing.

this change only affects using thorns while under CC that would normally prevent you from using a relic, in Loki update you can still use thorns, in TMNT update you will not be able to.
Asclepius and Caduceus' tooltips still specify that they only affect ability healing, despite being changed to affect all healing in this patch.

Shit if 3 man que comes back id love that. Me and my friends always wanna play ranked but someone always gets left out lol. Can someone @ ajax so he sees this eventually
At this point id say its very unlikely to see the return of 3 player groups in ranked conquest.
We tried this, weve seen the stats. Parties of 3 had an absolutely HUGE winrate advantage over solo and duo queues. We even went to solo only ranked for a while which was certainly the most statistically fair, but the QoL loss was more significant.
Duos seems to be the sweet spot and I dont expect a change to this within the usual ranked conq queue.
