This post will serve as a one stop check-in that will provide a snapshot status report of all components that are being tested in PTS for Game Update 7.2: Showdown on Ruhnuk.  Expect this post to be updated on an ongoing basis to reflect changes and updates regarding PTS as time passes.

• Daily Area: Heroic 4 Valga Djenn Known Issue: Enemy abilities are not finalized
• Daily Area: The Flutterplume Shrieker has an ability that is not finalized and currently doesn't do much
• Mandalorian Relic: Repulsor Unit - the Volatile Lambro interactables do not play their explosions at the correct time
• Mandalorian Relic: What's in the Works daily - the scannable object for the reservoir can be difficult to acquire
• World Boss: Some animations for attacks do not currently play as intended

Upgrading Gear on Vendors:

Systech Gear and Currency Bag Drops from Silver and Gold Enemies

• Please spend some time killing Silver and Gold enemies around the galaxy. How do you feel about the rate of Systech gear drops compared to the rate of endgame currency bags?

Hi everyone, 

A new patch is being released shortly. There were some key reports that helped us identify very specific issues that players were experiencing with the play button being grayed out. This issue was tied to account names that started with a hyphen. This was a very unique scenario and we appreciative of the players who continued to send us reports that helped us identify this problem. 

The new patch should be deployed within the next hour.

Mark your calendars! We will be hosting a livestream for Game Update 7.2 on November 9th at 1:30pm CT / 7:30pm UTC. As always, it will be hosted over on our Twitch channel. We’ll be going over what players can expect with the next game update, the reopening of the PTS, and a general timeline of 7.2’s launch. 

I’m locking this thread for now until the livestream concludes and will be threading a recap of the stream talking points and VOD when we have them available. As always, should this timeline change, I will inform all of you of those details.

I am on old, unupdated Windows 7 Pro and I do not have ANY virus software, Windows Defender is OFF, firewall down, DNS set to Google's 8.8.8.8 and the launcher is refusing to patch to correct version. 

We highly recommend that you update Windows as that can be the root cause of your current issue.

elp...... it crashes my system to a reboot, AV software detects it as a trogan  and blocks swtor.exe

Please add that to your allowlist as noted here.

Update from the team. 

We have been looking at the issues that players have reported. After researching and replicating these issues locally, we have the following suggestions/fixes for players:

Nothing happens when you click on play or the play button is grayed out:

• This usually means that an external application (like an antivirus) is stopping the launcher from running the SWTOR game client. This launcher was a big upgrade and sometimes antiviruses see these differences on game executables and block them. Most antiviruses offer “exclusions” or “exceptions” that you can add to allow or permit applications. Usually, these options are found on settings.
• Once you go to your antivirus settings, add the exception/exclusion and make sure you add your SWTOR install directory to this list. This wil...

We're seeing the feedback that there is confusion on this mission as the objective is not as clear as it can be. This is the terminal that you should be looking for in The Cheating Algorithm mission, and it spawns quickly. That said, we will be making changes in an upcoming patch to make this path less confusing.

The "Show Gear as Outfit" bug is something we're looking into as the current experience is not intended. 

Additionally, we'll be looking into expanding the character limit for naming outfits in a future update. I don't have a timeline for this, but wanted to say that we're aware of the feedback.

EDIT: Voracious is on Jaliet Nall and will be available after the season ends as well and part of the B and D rotation.

The G.A.M.E. reputation track is not in the list of Legacy Reputations.

The season 2 items available in Ki'at Thavo's inventory are intended to be there. The Season 3 items will be available when the season ends for players who may have missed the rewards in the track.

The Reputation Track will unlock when a player obtains any rep points. This is to keep the list clean for players who come in after season 3 is over. 

Hi all,

Update from the team on what they are currently troubleshooting. There are two main issues that they are working to resolve that covers many of the edge cases that they are seeing reported in the forums.

The first is a version issue. Thanks to the logs that players submitted, they can see a version mismatch, so they will be working to deploy a fix to correct this.

The second is players seeing a Launch_Error_Code after successfully upgrading to the new launcher. This appears to be specific to the player's computer as the launcher executable can trigger antivirus blocks as this is the first launcher update in quite some time. So currently, the team is troubleshooting further.

I'll update this thread when I know more.
