Hi there, just want to confirm, when you open the Inventory tab, you do not see a red shield button for the Legacy Overflow storage? If not, can you confirm that there is no red shield button on the character account that was onlin...

Have you provided the host.developer.log file C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic Launcher\ on Windows to the support team? We have been encouraging anyone who is experiencing issues with the new launcher to follow that support step so we can see what's happening with your launcher. This also sounds like a very unique situation, so I recommend sending that file to [email protected]. Be sure to include your account name and title the email "Issue with new launcher" or something similar.

Hi everyone, 

Wanted to provide an update on the issues we are seeing with the Star Forge server. As those on Star Forge know, we've been having some connectivity issues over the past month.  We're isolating the causes and have added some additional logging to help narrow down what's going on.

After Wednesday’s recovery, there was a unique state that some players found themselves in when Star Forge was brought back up. Some items in their Inventory, cargo bay, and Legacy Bank unlocks disappeared, but were found in Legacy Overflow or in-game mail.  As we have identified what caused this issue, it will not happen again in the future. The Legacy Overflow button can be found here on the Inventory tab and if there are items in the overflow, a red shield will appear.

Jackie, I logged back in with no problem and my storage slots are all back, but I have 223 items I had stored in my legacy storage that are not in my vault anymore. They're in item recovery, so it looks like I can just put it all back in my bags and then transfer them again to my legacy storage. A bit annoying but it doesn't look like I lost anything. I'll post again if I find anything missing.

Players should be able to log back into Star Forge now.

The sheer incompetence.....

Players not being able to log in is different than the server being down. Some players were still on the server hence the messaging of taking down the server.

We will be taking down Star Forge in about 10 minutes. It'll be a quick bounce so players will be able to log in almost immediately after.

That's fair. I updated the language in the general thread. I'm also repeating for the fourth time here in this thread that PTS feedback be left here and general discussion be kept to the general thread. I am leaving your comment here because you made a fair point in communication flow.

Adding a note here for players who need a boost to level 80 on the PTS. There is a level boost terminal on Odessen if you need it. Once you land on Odessen, turn around, and the terminal should be close by!

The criteria is: 

  • Log onto PTS
  • Complete a Warzone

Playing a match with the team is not required at all. We're just hopping into the queues to see how everything is working live, and to also encourage pops for everyone participating. :)

Hi everyone, 

We're setting up another play test with the devs for tomorrow, February 16th at 1:30pm CT to further test the Alderaan PvP Map. Please note the following: 

  • This phase of PTS will be closing on Friday, February 17th at 5:00pm CT
  • As a heads up, the Opal Vulptilla mount can only be earned during this phase of PTS, so you will no longer have the opportunity to earn the reward after the Friday deadline. 

See you all during tomorrow's play test!

Go to the SWTOR directory (for me that was Windows (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/BioWare/Star Wars - The Old Republic), right click on launcher.exe, select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and make sure the compatibility mode box is unchecked. Do the same check for the PTS launcher, which is at Star Wars - The Old Republic/publictest/retailclient/swtor.exe. Once my two launchers had the same compatibility settings, the PTS showed up in my server select screen.

Hi everyone, 

We received reports that some players are seeing a maintenance error message when trying to log onto the PTS. We will be resetting the PTS shortly in order to see if this will fix the state that these players are in. Players who are currently on PTS should expect a bounce soon, but the server will come back up immediately after.

We received reports from players that they are unable to completely log onto the PTS as they do not see anything on the server list. If you are experiencing this, please follow these step so that we can do further investigation into this issue: 

  • Send an email to [email protected] and in the subject line include "7.2.1 PTS - Empty Server List".
  • Send us the host.developer.log file  C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic Launcher\ on Windows
  • Send us the client log located in the install directory \Star Wars-The Old Republic\publictest\retailclient\publictest\logs
  • If possible, please indicate if you are experiencing this on the the launcher, Steam, both, or if one is working and not the other
  • Be sure to include your account name!

  • Travelling between Strongholds doesn't always cost credits.
