Thanks Jackie. I’m pretty sure I might have corrupted fleet files. And the repair button is grayed out 😞. Hopefully the patch on April 6th will repair those files & I won’t have to do a reinstall.

The team is asking if you can provide log files.

  • Send an email to [email protected] and in the subject line include "Missing floor" or something similar
  • Send us the host.developer.log file C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic Launcher
  • Be sure to include your account name

Thank you

It’s definitely a corruption of my fleet files. I tried it other characters on starforge & I got the same problem. I started a new Alt on Shae Vizla and had no problems playing and lvling until I got to the fleet. Then there is no floor again. So I’ve ruled out it being a character issue.
It would be great if Bioware or someone could suggest how to force a file repair without needing to reinstall. It’s grayed out on the client screen.

The ping is amazing at 5ms. All the Aussies playing on Korriban are hoping Bioware sets up a dedicated APAC server again.

The team is investigating the issue. Will update when I know more.

When I logged in after the weekly reset this morning, my PVP season objectives still say 4/4 Weeklies complete, even though my progress reset to 0/1000. The objectives are grayed out with no progress.

Hi there, can you log out and back in and see if that fixed the issue for you? Thanks!

HI all,

Appreciate the reports! Can you let us know if adjusting the texture quality to low helps at all?

Adding to this, the team is asking if setting the overall graphics preset to low, alongside setting the texture quality to low, fixes the issue. Let us know in this thread!

Hi everyone,

Sharing an update from the team. Yesterday, we were testing different scenarios surrounding compatibility mode and the empty servers list and graphics issue some players were seeing. For the empty servers issues, we have found that removing compatibility mode from both swtor.exe and launcher.exe will solve this specific problem.

Location may vary, but you can normally find these files here:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\star wars - the old republic\launcher.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\star wars - the old republic\swtor\retailclient\swtor.exe
  • Right click on launcher.exe and swtor.exe
  • Select Properties
  • Go to the Compatibility tab
  • Uncheck

I will be updating the ...

Hi everyone,

If you're still experiencing this issue, can you follow the steps listed here and report back if this did or did not fix this issue? Thanks!

Hello everyone,

This is a bit of a two-parter. We are asking players who are impacted by seeing an empty server list or flickering textures to do the following:

Set BOTH the launcher.exe and swtor.exe to the same combability mode used previously. We would like to see if 1) the server list populates and 2) if the flickering issues is resolved.

Once this is done, please confirm whether or not this fixed your issue in the following threads:

Me and my boyfriend just now did a Galactic Starfighter match and an Arena match, so 2 out of the 3 things to do.
For the Flashpoint, does it count if we did it in group ( us two with our companions ) and in Story Mode?

Thanks :jawa_angel:

Yup, it'll count for you both! If you could also leave feedback of your experiences in the ...

Everything was fine until I tried to go to Ossus. Got a black screen with just the mouse cursor. Eventually the game goes to not responding.

Hi there,

Can you please provide repro steps for us so we can recreate this scenario? Additionally, can you confirm what happens when you try to go back? Do you run into the same issue again?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Thank you for sending in the reports. The team wanted to follow up with another test scenario. For anyone impacted by this issue, can you set BOTH the launcher.exe and swtor.exe to the same combability mode you used previously and report back if that fixes your issue?

This would also be beneficial for players who see an empty server list as well.

We are requesting impacted players to set the same combability mode on both executables and see if 1) the server list populates and 2) if the flickering issues is resolved. Location may vary, but you can normally find these files here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\star wars - the old republic\launcher.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\star wars - the old republic\swtor\retailclient\swtor.exe

Does this necessitate a re-download of the client?

I logged into the launcher and it started re-downloading 35 gigs.

When the download finished and I tried to log in, it gave me a C5 error and closed.

When I re-opened the launcher, it started downloading again.

No, it is not a re-download. It will be on the list of live servers when you log into the game. But it will be notated with TEST SERVER next to it. All the details are linked above in the OP. From the article:

What will be the player experience during the testing period?

While this is a test server, this will be conducted a little differently than how we run the PTS. All players regardless of account type will be able to log on. And unlike the PTS, there will not be a separate download.

In th...

Will the messaging be changed in some way to make it clearer what's happening?  (e.g. what I suggested it should do)

Yes, the team is aware and working on an update for it.

Hello everyone!

The Shae Vizla test server is now open! Please read here for all the details on how you can help test the new server.

We want to see if there is anything that would keep a player from experiencing their regular routine and normal play. Examples of what we would like players to keep in mind:

  • Compared to an existing server, how is the performance?
  • Any specific areas or planets where you feel the performance has lessened?
  • What region/country do you reside in?
  • Provide a comparison of ping from existing...

Hi there, with the Assets Failed error, that indicates the launcher crashing as it is checking a lot of data. We're doing more tests to make this a smoother process for players who are experiencing this. That said, this is fixed by restarting the launcher so it will pick up where it left off with syncing everything. Pairing this with the messaging that Steve brought up, you are not truly experiencing a full download. The launcher is verifying all of your files.

I'm not too tech savvy but I hope this is the correct information. Machine type is a ACPI 64-Bit based PC. As for the graphics card its a AMD Radeon graphics that's integrated with my AMD Ryzen 7 4700G processor, the driver version is "30.0.13014.8". I hope that makes sense but this issue was somewhat fixed by using compatibility mode to windows XP SP3 and I don't have this issue on any other game I play.

Hi again! The team is also asking for dxdiag files. Can you send all the info you wrote above plus the dxdiag file to [email protected]? The team will need to take a closer look at what's happening. You can find the steps to generate a dxdiag report ...
