Hi everyone,

It was discovered that Republic characters could not access the quest for Legendary Implants. A hotfix has been applied, so all players should now be able to access this quest. Please let us know if there are any issues.

The Public Test Server is now open. This time around, you will be able to experience Loadouts and Character Creation alongside any updates we have made since the last phase of PTS had closed.

Important things to know for this phase of PTS:
  • All characters are being wiped

While we welcome your feedback, negativity specifically targeting a dev isn't tolerated. This is no different than when players go beyond difference of opinion and debate with each other. Hi all,

For transparency and context for those who are reading the dev tracker only, the choosing your Combat Style for existing characters text being referenced in this thread is from the Separating Story and Gameplay article that was published a while go.

There's been an update to this. We originally planned to allow players to switch their primary combat style with existing characters upon loading up 7.0, unfortunately we discovered some technical hurdles that will prevent us from supporting that. So upon login, existing characters will maintain their existing Advanced Class, which will be converted into their first Combat Style. And eligible players will still be free to choose their second Combat Style.

The original article has been updated to reflect this.

It is possible! The team has been working to identify appearances that are no longer available to return as cosmetics. We appreciate players identifying any they know.

Hi Craig_Mitchell,

I'm confirming that what you've listed will not be available. However, most, if not all of their appearances are going to be re-used for the new gear coming in 7.0. If there happens to be some that are not available, we would like to bring those back in the future.

With the creation of Combat Styles, changes needed to be made to the gear rewarded during your Class Story to ensure players would always receive a useable item that matched the proper appearance. To solve this we've created a new set of leveling gear that uses an appearance based on your Origin Story. So if you are a Smuggler playing with a Sniper Combat Style, you will receive gear that fits Smuggler visuals. Gear appearances are unique per Origin Story and per Planet you visit. This new gear will be Bind on Pickup.

Good question! In short, yes, you will need to obtain 100k during the week leading up to 7.0 to be eligible for Guild rewards. As the points will be set to 100k when the expansion launches, that value is defined as current, so guilds will need 100k leading up to that Tuesday.

The team is aware of this and will be looking into it. Please note that this does take time to investigate in order to find a suitable resolution, so to set expectations, a solve for this will not be able to be implemented in 7.0, however, I will provide updates when possible.
