Quick update from me -

This downtime is likely to continue for a little bit. The issue is related to the availability of our London Data Centres - we have a team of engineers working remotely and more headed on site to ensure this is addressed as soon as possible.

We're happy to announce that our services are now back up and running as of 2:10am Game Time on November 23! 🎉

UPDATE: NOV 25TH 2022

Following recent server outages which caused disruption when attempting log-in from certain regions, we've been working closely with our system administrators to ensure all players are now able to log back into the game as normal. 

The team has made some minor adjustments to our authentication services to ensure that further reports of disruption when logging in have been rectified. Game stability over the last 48 hours looks promising, and we will continue to monitor stability over the weekend to ensure that things are fully back to normal and to fix them promptly if anything more happens.

You may have noticed this post disappeared quickly - and that's because we've made a slight (intentional) release date shift on this today that didn't sneak into the scheduled post updates in time.

You'll hear more about it soon, but it's not releasing on Monday to confirm!

So this tweet isn't quite true in terms of timing - looks like the team's social scheduler decided it should be shared early!

This is on the way next week - and yes, that includes raising the Bank Space cap limit from where it is today. Look for more info in next week's TWIR.

We got this fixed a little earlier today in a Hotfix around 14:45 Game Time.

The only caveat is you won't be able convert from Protean Essence to another Essence until the next Game Update - unfortunately this isn't hotfixable, but thankfully it's the least important part of the fix we hope!

The team behind Fresh Start Worlds would like to confirm we will now be awarding Golden Halos to the Top 100 players in the Overall leaderboards after feedback from players. This is in addition to Top 100s on each skill leaderboard

Correct, that's not expected. The team looked at how that unexpectedly happened during our last maintenance and have put a mitigation plan in place to avoid it happening.

We won't know for sure until it's out there in the wild, but we should be good to avoid it this time.

We've just added an additional section to This Week In RuneScape to confirm all German Worlds will also be offline in RuneScape this Tuesday for approximately five hours.

The work is expected to begin around 10:50 Game Time on Tuesday. A maintenance post will appear on RuneScape.com while this work is active so you can track if the Worlds are still down, which will disappear when the Worlds have returned.

Hey everyone. This was briefly incorrectly mentioned in the News Post this week and isn't present in this week's update, but this is a planned change for the Oddments Store.

To explain what's going on - the team recently reviewed the Oddments Store changes from April, and the assessment is that Key Limits are out of balance with the limits on the other items in the Oddments Shop (which exist for game economy balancing reasons).

This has led to the limit being rebalanced to 10 Keys per day, which is scheduled for release next week.

Finding out from a Patch Note was definitely not the intention - it was in there as a leftover before the team delayed the release by a week late on Friday so we could provide notice to players in the next few days and avoid disrupting anyone's Grim Harvest experience.

Since the Patch Note got the word out as is - and the Limit change is now confirmed - we're going to get this news added to This Week In RuneScape asap. Look...
