Correct, that's not expected. The team looked at how that unexpectedly happened during our last maintenance and have put a mitigation plan in place to avoid it happening.
We won't know for sure until it's out there in the wild, but we should be good to avoid it this time.
We've just added an additional section to This Week In RuneScape to confirm all German Worlds will also be offline in RuneScape this Tuesday for approximately five hours.
The work is expected to begin around 10:50 Game Time on Tuesday. A maintenance post will appear on RuneScape.com while this work is active so you can track if the Worlds are still down, which will disappear when the Worlds have returned.

Hey everyone. This was briefly incorrectly mentioned in the News Post this week and isn't present in this week's update, but this is a planned change for the Oddments Store.
To explain what's going on - the team recently reviewed the Oddments Store changes from April, and the assessment is that Key Limits are out of balance with the limits on the other items in the Oddments Shop (which exist for game economy balancing reasons).
This has led to the limit being rebalanced to 10 Keys per day, which is scheduled for release next week.
Finding out from a Patch Note was definitely not the intention - it was in there as a leftover before the team delayed the release by a week late on Friday so we could provide notice to players in the next few days and avoid disrupting anyone's Grim Harvest experience.
Since the Patch Note got the word out as is - and the Limit change is now confirmed - we're going to get this news added to This Week In RuneScape asap. Look...

I can't even start up Runescape anymore now! Everyone using Steam is having the same problem.

The somewhat good news is once, we complete our rollback, you'll be able to log in on this account and pick Fresh Start Worlds as intended. You won't need to fire up a ticket or get any further support.

When can we expect the new skill to come out?
It's been over a year since death costs have been acknowledged as a problem and said to be worked on, and they have been an issue for much, much longer. Why can't we get at least some holdover balance changes to death costs since it keeps being delayed, such as capping them?
We are wary of removing a significant gold sink from the game without replacing it. We are looking at running Free Deaths at some point again later in the year if possible based on all the feedback we've seen on it. - Mod Jack
Why does it take 6 months to change a few values in the death cost calculation?
The delay isn't with the Death Costs, but with the changes to the GE to support tarriffs and remove the price cap. These are important economic balances to launch alongside changes to Death Costs. - Mod Jack
