Ah, yes, that'd be it. We were originally going to add this update's achievements to Exploration->Anachronia.

But the list was already a lot to scroll through due to each zygomite having its own achievement, you can get the same info from the meta achievement with less scrolling, and there'd be no runescore change by collapsing. So I did a little house-cleaning.

We ultimately moved our achievements to an Activities subcategory as we managed to do more than we originally planned (yay!) but kept the Anachronia cleanup for, hopefully, a net positive.

There's some lovely ideas here if we get to do a future expansion to this area. Bookmarked.

Thank you both for taking the time to write up your suggestions! I love the passion of our community.

Thank you for your appreciation of this differently abled representation, OP!

Glad we added these to the farmer's market now. Smug mode engaged. :D

Yep, so that the achievements for getting an unchecked from carestyling and collecting aren't high RNG, the drop pool is significantly smaller until you get the achievement.

Then the activity changes to a rarer long term drop rate when you have the achievement.

I have quest cape, I dont remember Bill mentioning OSF?

It's in Bill's dialogue if you speak to him after you start the quest (so the critical path isn't too long), so you may have missed it.

I imagine it'll be in a wiki transcript soon, if it isn't already.

It's really not as bad as the memes make it sound. Even without a guide, if you can do clue scroll puzzle box you can do ew3.

Also, Mod Doctor did some fantastic QoL to Elemental Workshop 3's notorious puzzle. Eg you don't have to wait for your avatar to run (or walk if you're out of energy) all the way around from one lever to the next, which was a big contributor to the length of the puzzle.

Do it.

The more players do it, the greater the likelihood we may some day get pants.

Do it.

Do it now.

Ditto! It's one of the few skilling pets I have left.

Between this and Dream of Iaia, it's a good time to be a skilling pet hunter.

While it is sad news, it is great to actually see why something didn't work out.

Is that a new town for a future update, or the Seer's Village update that was partially completed?

As mentioned elsewhere in the thread, that's the village square of Davendale, the mobile tutorial we developed and released last year. :)

Seers' Village rework didn't get very far beyond concepting and placeholder mapping before the environment artist working on it was reallocated, as far as I'm aware? (Might've been to mapping the Lost Grove / Solak? But don't quote me on that - it was years ago.)

I dont understand why this is an over budget issue on a 20 year old game making record breaking profits though? that just doesnt sit right.

When we refer to budgeting in RuneScape development, it's almost always referring to time budget.

Most of our staff are permanent, so in essence the financial cost has already been covered by payroll.

That provides X hours of the time of Y people, so the resource we have to work with is person hours.

The game updates on a weekly basis, which means a variety of sizes of content need to be developed in parallel, keeping everybody productive without overloading any one department that'd bottleneck the pipeline.

So it becomes a tricky balance of resource management and scheduling. Hence time budgeting.

It's not overpowered or dead on arrival and there's little things like examines that make me think there was care put in. I can't thank you enough as someone who's played THIS version of RS since I was a teen.

Yep, you can use tradeable or untradeable anima as an ingredient in elder god arrows. The arrows remain tradeable either way.

Thank you very much!

Well, two content devs.

We couldn't've done it without Mods Chaose (lead QA), Neil (concept), Blkwitch (environment), Dragon & Zoltan (character), Wing (animation), Tom (icons), Grace (audio), Localisation (Moon/Dorn/Nelly/Lynx - thank you for accepting 3k more words than we'd originally budgeted!), Production & Product (Jack, Kalaya, Katie, Stacey).

Plus of course our lovely support teams in Creative Services & Editorial, Community Management, Release Candidate QA, etc.

All the above methods are currently XP-based.
