That's intentional, you no longer use those login details to play, instead using the newly created Jagex Account to do so.

Spot on advice - ty :)

Hi there, the way it’s presented on the Support landing page is perfect. I suggest using the timezone codes instead of City names for other announcements as well, just like is on the landing page.

Got it - the current campaign is already scheduled but we'll try your suggestion for the next one - thanks

Allowing people to log in with an account name would be nice. Some of us have been playing for two decades and have grown attached to our account info. It also gives some measure of security, since there are two possible logins instead of one.

I lost my personal game account username login as well when I got my Jagex Account, but for me the other benefits (email notifications and ability to change login) in particular, outweighed that aspect. I also just have a main (ignoring back in the day failed pures) but I can see how 20 characters would be super useful for a lot of people as well. I also know a few people who are quite glad to see the back of the username logins they chose years ago that they are less than proud of today!

It still seems to be an issue.

Thanks - it is still under investigation as it does seem the problem persists for delivery to some 'small' email providers and Yahoo ..

I don’t understand the tweet. Is it saying those world regions will be down during those timezone’s local times, or is it saying the time at which, when living there, the downtime will take place?

Why not just give a timezone and a time… I’m confused.

Hey we tend to give geos in Tweets and timezones on the support landing page in the hope it reaches more people regardless of how they want the info presented, and people can just go with whatever format resonates with them the most. If the feeling is we should just stick with one format then we can do that!

Yep, using Yahoo. Okay thank you.

OK that is helpful confirmation thanks - we have updated our PSA to reflect that some email verification delivery issues remain

Thanks, keep us posted please!

It seems the issue might persist for some Yahoo emails and some lesser known 'small' email providers - we will spin up a new PSA and work with our providers to get this sorted as soon as we can

ty I have flagged this

Hey, we had a few issues with verification emails yesterday, but that was identified and fixed quickly. Should be good to go now :)

Comment

It sounds like you are trying to log into your new Jagex Account using your old login details - the email you chose when setting up your Jagex Account becomes your new login and recovery email, to access any characters you have imported to your Jagex Account. Give us a shout if that isn't the issue and we'll help further.

Comment

You will have to use an email to log into a Jagex Account but the migration is perfectly safe and you won't lose your account provided you apply some basic security approaches such as making sure you can access the email you use for your Jagex Account and the address is secure
