Thanks for the quick tip, PointMarmot!

Accuracy, melee damage, grenade/drone spam, and in general enemy AI behavior are all things that have been tweaked in pretty much universal cases.

Talking about those tweaks possibly not being enough or how they contribute to game difficulty is one thing, but please don't imply they've never been altered.

Is there a particular one of these that you feel causes a poignant problem with game difficulty?

I'll admit I'm a bit confused by this post... could you explain your take on the situation a little bit more, please?

I appreciate the feedback here everyone.. RNG, especially for things like exotics and difficult content likes Raids, can be a nuanced discussion involving booth human psych and game design principles, as several comments suggest here.

To jump off of a point that's been raised here, how much effort-in do you feel should guarantee an Exotic as reward-out?

Been loving this in depth mechanics discussion... I'll have to keep this thread bookmarked in case someone asks about differences/advantages between building for health vs. armor.

He loves and hates us all. I can only recommend not taking it personally.

Thank you very much for some potential countermeasures. Always nice to see friendly advice on these sorts of trends.

Thank you for the feedback on the state of PvP.

What are methods or lengths you've taken to try and deal with those running shotgun builds?

Thank you for this report. Has anyone else come across this weird little hiccup?

What news are you particularly excited by?

It might also be like public pool rules, no running allowed.

I'm not sure if there's a technical reason, but slower movement in peaceful/safe areas has always been prevalent in this and other games. Allows you to takke in the sights and makes the area feel different than the combat zones.

My point is that the article uses the Raid as a backdrop to highlight flaws because the average reader of the article has likely not read the preponderance of feedback from the community on these forums or elsewhere. It [the article] serves as a vehicle to address certain topics in a way that can be quickly and... Read more

Even though the Raid might be content only a portion of the player base participates in/enjoys, it still functions as some of the hardest content in the game. That type of difficult content can provide a good backdrop against which some of the game's most prominent flaws can be spotted, distinguished, and talked about.

Edit: Fixed an odd typo.

Between different difficulties, playstyles, tactics, multiplayer options, weapons, and progression routes, the game ha a lot of ways to tackle difficulty. While we still may make minor tweaks to fine tune the experience, there are numerous options available to everyone to facilitate playing through the game.

Between this thread and many others on the forums, there is a plethora of rock solid advice and others willing to help at the drop of a hat.

That said, please be respectful of those who have had different experiences with the game's difficulty than yourself. What is easy for some may be challenging for others, and visa versa.

Been seeing this topic sprout up a bit more often than usual lately... keep in mind that when loosening some restrictions on talents that they can have a bit of a backfire effect. Allowing a talent on every weapon or giving it a lower requirement might technically make it more usable by a wider variety of builds - but if it quickly becomes the best option, then the overall variety is ultimately reduced.

No talent exists in a vacuum, they all have to interact with the other talents, the exotics, the skills, etc.

I appreciate the feedback and nuanced discussion on the topic - this is just something to keep in mind with these conversations.
