Hey everyone. As this thread has gotten weirdly political and off topic from the original matchmaking discussion, which is also taking place on several other threads... I will be closing the thread. Please keep discussions on topic and don't stray too far from the OP or spirit of the subject. Thank you.

I appreciate the distinction and added detail. Thank you.

Has the problem universally been rolling while near cover ends up making you go in cover rather than rolling in the desired direction? Is this the problem that everyone* is having or are there more specifics I'm missing?

Edit: *Everyone that is running into issues with the cover system.

I'll be closing this thread as it's treading the same topic and eventual decay of conversations we've seen in countless other places. You are more than welcome to discuss the relationship between PvE and PvP (and PvPvE) mechanics so long as it does not become toxic or a back and forth flame war. Remember to treat other posters with the same level of respect and civility that you would want for yourself. Thank you.

You may notice some signature weapon damage increase from changing gear or making significant improvements to the Sig. Weapon Damage passive in the Specialization tree. Or have you noticed a big change of damage while all of that stays the same?

Well, this thread went from going wildly off topic back to regarding the OP. Remember to, in general, be wary of generalizing entire groups of people with sweeping statements. There are people who always respond to a thank you with a hearty "You're welcome!"

Was the DZ South Occupied at this time? Were the turrets active to help you out?

Moving this thread to The Division 2 where it belongs.

Couple things real quick. Firstly, I appreciate the various feedback here and in particular the OP's quoting and commenting on specific parts of the article rather than just nebulous agreement.
As a quick follow up, regarding the Specialization, the OP mentioned a general discontent with the weapons specifically but didn't give as much detail on their thoughts of the passive buffs. How do each of you generally weigh the options of the different Specializations? What traits carry the most weight for that choice?

Secondly, the discussion of moderator actions is against forum rules. Just to be clear; there are no moderators actively or passively trying to 'bury' threads about topics we don't like. There are far more critical threads and topics that are consistently on the front page of these forums. Feel free to message myself or another mod/Com Rep about any moderation decisions we make if you have questions or concerns.

Unfortunately the video link isn't working for me, but well done regardless!

Hey everyone. For those who have received numerous drops only to find that no more are dropping, there are only so many apparel items in the world and at one point you will reach that limit and no more will drop. For those who have barely collected any apparel and feel that they are few and far between, unfortunately it is fickle RNG being fickle RNG. Believe me, I know the pain of constantly swapping out my clothing trying to find the getup that clicks.

On a personal note, I have found that doing varied activities has led to slightly more frequent apparel drops (like right after rescuing a hostage or finishing a mission or capturing a control point), but keep in mind this is super anecdotal and loaded with confirmation bias.

Also keep in mind that with the Apparel events, after they each end in turn, more apparel items will be added to the world's pool. The current Dark Hours Apparel Event should be transitioning its items into regular circulation around ... Read more

Someone point me in the direction of a similar game that's not Div 1. I'm not giving them anymore money.

I was doing my best to ignore the bugs but specializations/WT/GS nonsense was the straw that broke the camels back.

Appreciate it
While I'm fully aware that the topics of World Tiers and Gear Score have been discussed to death, I am curious to hear more specifics on your frustrations with Specializations if you would be so kind as to elaborate. Though still a common topic, Specialization gripes/problems do seem to be a bit more individualized ... Read more

Wow.. well my reply would be that 500 gear isn't dropping where it is guaranteed to drop and it is rarely dropping in challenging missions even. Maybe 1 in 30 drops have been 500 for me, in challenging and maybe 1/10 off of bosses, in challenging.
500 GS Gear isn't guaranteed to drop in challenging missions. The recent update was for Heroic difficulty content bosses guarantee 500 GS drops once you are also at 500 GS. If this function is not working properly, please let me know.

I am not a fan of those instances.

But who am I? Thanks for the feedback everyone. Glad to know the bugs are a plus.

I feel like I've definitely seen a cat at some point... right? I must have... Couldn't tell you where though, strange.

I have once had a deer take a bullet for a Hyena though. It was less than ideal.

Can you elaborate a little bit more on the specific traits of the gear system you're referring to? (There's a lot going on with Legendary/Set items, Ancient quality, Enchanting, Sockets, etc.)

Sorry to see you go. Was there a particular facet, broken glitch, or exploit that you felt was the last straw? Specific examples of the changes that made negative impacts (and how) for you are always appreciated.

I appreciate you taking the time to write out all your feedback on this. RNG is a tough topic to discuss both design wise and psychology wise as you well know.

Quick reminder that making a small comment that adds nothing to the discussion and only serves to 'bump' the thread is considered spamming.

As a type of follow up question that I hope isn't taken the wrong way, how do you feel in the moments where you find a piece of gear that just clicks specifically in The Division 2? Either it's miraculously the perfect drop or you know you have just the thing to recalibrate to make it into the last piece of the puzzle. What's that moment (or those moments) like for each of you?

I really appreciate all the feedback here, everyone. If I may ask... what was the moment where you, if applicable, noticed your feelings on the game taking a turn for the worse? Was it a particular activity, a change from an update, or perhaps a sudden fizzle while sorting through gear?
