I spend more time on this sub than I care to admit, even outside if work.

Just making a joke. Love y’all.

Good morning. I hope you had a good weekend.

We’ll go through the threads today to pull out any new feedback that may have surfaced since Thursday/Friday, and be sure to bring it to the team. If we have any information to share with you, we’ll be sure to! Here’s a quick list (off the top of my head as I’m still at home) of what we have so far:

• Players would like to see Sandbox adjustments more frequently

• When adjustments (nerfs) are made, they’d like smaller changes to occur, so favorite weapons or archetypes don’t feel like they’ve fallen to the bottom of the barrel

• Some bosses feel handcrafted for Snipers, so the upcoming changes feel like they’ll make those encounters much more difficult to approach

• 150 HandCannons feel to be the best in class right now, and players would like more variety

• While AutoRifles got some slight buffs, players would like to see more love

• Scout Rifles continue to feel underwhelming comp...

Continues to help us assess priority.

Sometimes, balancing can rise and fall in development due to resource constraints - testing, development, etc.

We can, and will, continue to bring this feedback to the team. The fact that is continues helps us to say "this is still felt to be a problem by players", rather than the team working on something that ends up not meaning too much to players as they've moved on to a different weapon or archetype.

Thanks to everyone who's responded so far.

No changes to 150's or 180's either.

If any changes are planned to handcannons, we'll be sure to let you know. They're among the most used weapons in PvE and PvP, so a meta shift in those areas would be telegraphed prior to the release of any changes.

Keep that feedback coming. We've been collecting some points for 110's and 140's for some time now. Have any specific feedback for 180 archetypes?

Fix is expected with Update 2.8.0 at the start of next season. Stay tuned for patch notes.

About that...

Fighting Lion will be getting some adjustments as a biproduct to the Grenade Launcher changes. We know you love this weapon more than life itself, but we wanted to make sure you knew the changes were coming.

Now that I've made you fear the worst, here's a quick preview of how Fighting Lion is not being nerfed next season.

Fighting Lion

  • Due to backend changes with the grenade launcher archetype, Fighting Lion inherited minor adjustments
  • Rate of Fire increased from 72 RPM to 90 RPM
  • Direct hit damage in PvE is now 35 (Previously 27)

Very minor changes, but wanted to put 'em out there :)

Loading times in the tower are being investigated - I believe a fix is proposed for day one of the next season. Need to follow up with the team.

Someone please tell me how to feel about all this.

Our goal was to help you feel informed. Hopefully you feel some excitement, and we know you'll potentially feel some sorrow. It's a bummer when your swiss army knife isn't the best tool for the majority of situations anymore, but maybe you'll find a new tool that refreshes your interest in come encounters, or pushes you to rethink the strategy you've been using for 5 or so months.

This TWAB is coming out a few weeks before a new season so you can get some time in with the current meta before a shift. There's also the goal of you knowing these changes are coming, rather than being surprised on day one of the next season.

Once the changes are live, I hope that you're able to find some feelings from your gameplay and share them with us. What rises to the top next season may end up being one of your favorites ever, even if it had been sitting in your vault collecting dust. Maybe you'll feel that some things went down too much, which will be valuable for us to hear as we...

This week at Bungie, all eyes are on Stage 7.

Time and time again, this community humbles us. A few weeks ago, you were challenged with the Empyrean Foundation, requiring billions upon billions of Fractaline donations to light a beacon of hope. You’ve strategized your investments, brought riches to our dear friend Spider, and smashed six goals faster than we could have imagined. Here’s an update on your shared progress:

Whether you’ve been donating or investing, this has been a community-wide effort from the get go. Your combined efforts are paving the way to success. Soon, the final Triumph for the Savior title and a fancy new shader will be available for everyone, and it’s all thanks to you.
Now, let’s shift gears. A few weeks back, we promised some Sandbox previews leading up to Season of [Redacted]. Let’s get to it.

Taking a...

Hey all,

Speaking with the team, this ghost has a %5 drop chance from the boss chest, and you should get it after 40 clears. There is one caveat - the bad luck protection on this is shared with the Dungeon ship. If you've recently had the ship drop, it would have reset your chances for the ghost.

This Week at Bungie, we’re calling in reservations.
It’s been a wild week in Destiny 2. Inotam, Oblivion’s Triune, made their grand entrance into the Sundial. Guardians descended upon Mercury, weapons in hand, eager to protect the timeline from certain annihilation. While you’ve prevented the Psions from changing history, this isn’t the last trial you’ll face - not by a longshot.

The first three Empyrean Foundation goals have been met with haste. One billion Fr... Read more

Looks like we don't have anything available server side to alleviate this.

Will be sure to pass the feedback along. I do not believe a Hotfix will be spun up for this issue specifically, so get ready to spend some time hitting that donate button.

I'll be right there with you. Future events, we'll be sure to avoid this as well.
