We recently limited Tower population size to help with stability, and we’ve uncovered some silly jank with Telesto on the Gunsmith. Team is still investigating general crashes and stability issues. This is definitely high on our priority list, and we hope to get fixes out as soon as we can. Stay tuned to BungieHelp on twitter for updates.

It’s going to take some time to identify builds, find synergies, and get into the swing of 3.0. We learned this with Void, and we’ll likely see some similar chatter when Arc comes around.

That said,

There is entirely valid feedback in many of the posts and conversations. Difficulty in finding a given build is great feedback. Not understanding new “costs” for a given build that used to exist in the 2.0 paradigm is great feedback. New verbs being confusing or hard to understand is great feedback.

I do wish that some would take a bit more time to dig, or avoid saying things fueled entirely by frustration after a rough play session, I’ll never expect every piece of feedback to be perfectly worded or devoid of emotion. The only feedback I’m not super into usually deals with personal jabs, overly harsh language, or straight up saying “lol someone should be fired” - none of that helps us to make stuff better. Totally fine with critical and harsh feedback, but there...

Thanks for the additional context - I'm just diggin in to some reports on Bungie.net as well with the player support team.

We're getting in contact with some folks to see if we missed a patch note. We'll provide updates when we can!

These mods are still available on armor pieces from the Last Wish raid. I'll dig in to patch notes, but I believe we made this change years ago.

Can we get an acknowledgement of this /u/dmg04 /u/cozmo23

Team's digging on it.

We're moving a bit fast between all of the feedback and general bug reports - looks like we missed a callout for this one in the TWAB.

Once we have more info, we'll let you know.

(Edit - somehow snagged the wrong quote. My bad!)

So I wouldn't read too much into anything I say ever because on top of the above facts I also LOVE to f**k with expectations. ;)

Hey ScornCrossbowRaider,

I’ll see if I can get some developer commentary on this change. I understand it can be frustrating when your weapon gets a bit of an adjustment when you weren’t expecting it. Especially when it’s been a go-to for so long.

Very often, the sands of our sandbox shift change. What was once a powerhouse in PvE may be taking a break from the limelight after a few seasons of being overtuned (especially when compared to other weapons, or having the ability to one-shot guardians). Balance passes will come and go - maybe your favorite will rise once more.

Only time will tell!

(And before ANY of you take a screenshot of this and say OMG NEW WEAPON or OMG SUBCLASS 3.0 REVEAL - this is satire)

Yeah - I think the team has been doing some great work to remove the feeling that it's necessary to "prep" for a new season. I used to keep a couple bounties here and there, even threw on ye olde poptart double XP boosts from years and years ago. End of the day, it just isn't necessary for how much I play.

I understand the perspective of those who want the newest things immediately. End of the day, most folks who frequent reddit, bungie.net, or other social spaces have the majority of rewards or unlocks within a couple of weeks due to their playstyles.

For our more casual crowds, they usually just don't care to prep and p...

Team's digging. We've been prepping for next Tuesday for the last few days, seems we've hit a snag.

Until resolved, you won't be able to find opponents in PvP/Gambit, and will likely load into social spaces, patrols, and strikes solo.

Stay tuned to BungieHelp for updates.

As a final reddit reply before leaving for three weeks, I can say this: We've been empowered by the team at large to spread more information more frequently. It's been awesome to see this community grow, and see Bungie adapt to further support of a live game. We've done good work on the community team to push the needle, but none of it would be possible without the support of everyone at the studio. Of course there are plans we can't share or conversations that we can't always have, but damn does it feel good to dive in to the nitty-gritty from time to time.

We've made TWAB/Patch Note mistakes in the past (Auto Rifles buffed by .04%) that led to a desire...

Scout rifles exist. Acknowledged.

What about Scouts do you believe need tuning in PvP/PvE?

Give us details and we can pass them along.

Well that seems like pretty heavy overkill, especially for PvE.

Resilience is still the worst stat in the game, even with the slight bump to flinch resistance.

Recovery is amazing.

We'll have some details on Resilience changes (PvE) in a future TWAB. Stay tuned.

Whatever the patch notes, I NEED to say that the graphs and data we see here is 100% the absolute BEST CHOICE

Love seeing the data and the graphing it is so beautiful and informative. Thank you thank you thank you

Speaking to the team, we'd like to leverage these more in the future. A few issues:

  1. Showing graphs frequently leads to players feeling that we rely solely on data without taking into account feedback (obviously isn't true, but we've seen that complaint many a time!)
  2. Some graphs don't pump out well to readability - AKA we have hired data scientists to go through some of this, don't always have the time to change them to be more readable by general playerbase
  3. Sometimes we don't think to add graphs like these until last minute, which then leads to us having to cut them from a given TWAB. (Lack of Localization, unable to get correct graphs quickly, etc)

All in all, we're spending more time in planning stages for TWABs, so we can note good opportunities for graphs and data in the future.
