Appreciate it! If you don't mind me asking, how do you decide what types of skins to launch? Is it based on market research, or do you just cycle through to do skins of all types? What skins are the favorites among you devs? Just wondering, thx!
Realistically its all kind of just up to the team. We used to do this exercise (in person) where everyone would throw an idea on a sticky note and put it on a board, and we would vote. Whoever had the most investment in it could make a pitch and drive the idea that the team would do next. We still operate in that way. Artists are free to come up with ideas that they have to inspire the team, and then myself and u/Riot_Preeti come up with a plan to fit it into our schedule. Some of the favorites on the team are the bigger ones like Glitchpop, Ion, and Reaver, but there are some others who really were into Infantry, Ego, Magepunk etc.

It's hard to put a finger on it for me but I'd say there are a few types of things I like.
- Space skins. Im a sucker for space. I love astra's swag, singularity is my fav, it's amazing.
- Bright colors that work well together. If there was like a nice cyan blue with bright orange? Would be flames. I think there is a lot to be said for simpler skins like red alert (which IMO is hugely underatted).
- Cool fx. This probably doesn't help you at all cus what does that mean, but really creative uses of physics is how I'd describe it. The way the clips float w...
Don't discount your input. In general we've had a rule of wanting to make something for everyone, even if its not the most popular or broadly appealing idea.
Hearing all your preferences gives us a sort of multifaceted way of looking at what we can do. You called out Singularity as having a good connection to space, but maybe some folks arent into the black hole scifi/techy lines kind of thing, and they want something a bit more themed around space exploration, like a gun used by some asteroid mining dwarf just in case he ran into a giant space bug. haha. so we can go to a few different places even within a thematic we've already touched.

Guns have cool reloads too. You guys did great work. Best inspect by far IMHO. Would love some crazy gun inspects too

Curious how much you all like the inspect. We usually don't do crazy inspects (prefer to put work into the equip/reload since you see it more often). The idle animations are pretty cool on this skin as well - we haven't done something like it since the Elderflame dragon (when it breathes).

Yeah I think a haggle system could be cool too. If you are good with managing your money you can set an interest rate and players can press F1 to accept your rate or F2 to haggle with you on a new rate. The bankruptcy and transfer of assets may be too predatory, but maybe if they don't have enough money to pay you back the next round you can ban them from picking up your guns off of the ground and they have to pay a penalty fee on top of the interest they owe you.
