Sure! Hull breach was created to solve a problem, some vehicles were unrealistically hard to kill and would eat shots after shots, that good old "no armor best armor". It did a good job on that regard, but as the game evolved, limitation started to show. Lots of players reported issues with hull break and the developers agree with the feedback. We still think the concept of hull break is good, but it need to be refined.


The team is working on an improved hull break, and deactivated part of the current system on a number of vehicles against kinetic shells to tone down the negative effects in the meantime.

  • A bug which would occur when a destroyed, turretless ground vehicle was fired upon, whereby the shell would disappear in the area the turret used to be despite nothing being there, has been fixed.
  • A bug where smokescreens would not hide the markers of other vehicles during ground battles has been fixed.
  • Browning-Colt Mk12 Mod 0 / Mod 3 — All types of belts now have the tracer round as the first munition.
  • Vickers P — The rate at which the cannon overheats, and the spread of the ammunition, have been reduced.

It has nothing to do with "personal bias" as you claim. But factual data.


The developers can see the stats of all vehicles in game and thats how such decisions are made.


Challenger 1 is not at the bottom of its BR unlike the T-72 TURMS was, so the developers do not need or have to give it Challenger 2s L26 round.



A report has already been made if I remember correctly. We cannot raise its priority beyond what it already is.

The same way the Harrier was moved up to 9.7.


The developers can see the statistics for all vehicles, how well they do in battle and all of their metrics. T-72 TURMS was the lowest performer of its BR by a very large margin.



The situation that you describe and the reality of the facts that the statistics show don't align. The Challenges have always been preforming decently well for its BR.

Challenger 1 is not performing as badly as what TURMS was. Therefor it is not in need of L26.

This is not a bug.


The method of penetration calculation was changed in 2019 to a new system: https://warthunder.com/en/news/6010-development-improved-calculation-of-armour-penetration-in-the-game-en


What you are reporting is not using the new method and does not contain any of the information required that shows there is any issue.

The A-4E Early squadron vehicle is available for research and purchase to all players.



Flight model



I-185 (all series) — air stream swirl around stabilizers has been specified. The cable control on the ailerons and elevators has been replaced with tubular (more accurate) rods. Wave drag resistance increased due to the thinner profile. Stalling angles have been improved with flaps retracted due to wider wing slats. Engine inertia and momentum have been reduced. Landing roll without brakes has been specified (reduced).


MiG-3 (all series) — air stream swirl around stabilizers has been specified. The nosing-over probability has been reduced significantly with full fuel load. Increased resistance on fully extended flaps across their surface.

It was not an offical tree.


A mistake was made when creating the thumbnail and it was in fact a community made tree:


None of those vehicles exist for the game. They were all fan made icons.
