Meet Lady Liberty! This Wednesday, November 16th we will be joined in the studio by the voice actor behind the Statue of Liberty Commander! She will talk a bit about voice-acting and what it was like to create the first female English commander voice-set in World of Warships! Afterwards we will run a quiz for you all on Statue History and Voice-Acting with a chance to win one of three Statue of Liberty Commanders with unique voice-overs!

Further - we will also be giving away three of the Ashley Twitch Commanders that will soon be receiving another unique voice-over set, partly created with lines our Community Contributors!

League is a very skill-shot based game with numbers balancing in the .2 to 1 second "windows". The balancing metrics they have to use are of a rather different sense than ours.

Also, in the beginning of the video the description is that player variance is not a matter for 10% or 30% better from bottom to top, it is in the hundreds if not thousands of % increases. This concept is important to remember in terms of forum arguments that involve player amounts which number in the 10's out of a player population of hundreds of thousands or more.

I just wanted to let you know that there will not be a new entry in the New Player Captain's Log today, 11/15. I haven't had a sufficient amount of time to play the game and thus I won't have much to share.

However, I did want to create a thread just in case any other new players (or experienced players, for that matter) wanted a space to be able to discuss their weekly experiences, ask questions or just have some lighthearted discussions!

You cannot re-draw the same ship. If you own a ship it is removed from the "Ship Group" and all remaining options in the "Ship Group" are evenly weighted.

Example:

Ship Group A has 5 Ships in it.

If none of the ships are owned by the player,

each ship has 20% to be selected if "Ship Group A" is rolled.

If one of the ship is owned by a player,

each remaining ship (4) has 25% to be selected if "Ship Group A" is rolled

If all of the ships is owned by the player,

The Ship Group is disabled and other ship groups proportionally absorb the chance to be rolled

Example of Portional Distribution:

Ship Group A has a 10% chance to be rolled


Ship Group B has a 4% chance to be rolled

General playability is a required concern. Most people considered proficient at the game fall within a single digit percentile of the playerbase. Fortunately there are Clan Battles and Ranked which can cater to higher-skilled play, but the grand majority of play is more chaotic and random as many people enjoy sailing ships and shooting other ships for fun as opposed to embracing high-order tactical play and metric based results.

There was a GDC presentation from Riot Games which discussed how balance challenges have to be considered across the bredth of the playerbase as opposed to on only the theoreticals. If a fun watch if you have some time.

Our Santa Containers are different than last year's, so it is unlikely that they are listed under the same Account ID.

Was very sad to hear of this. His performance was excellent and he will be remembered for many years because of it.

We've experienced a technical issue on the dispersal of the combat mission. This is being looked into.

Customer Support is the correct place to go. They've been a bit busy of late, but they'll be able to look into the situation when they can!

Unfortunately, the bonus exchange is no longer available. It was available for a few updates after the Econ/Camo Separation, but was removed as we stated it would be.

I did raise this point internally last week.

There should be a publication discussing this topic, but I believe it was delayed. There should be more information when that comes out.
