There is no official servers; The game is built for 1-8 player coop, so all the servers are player owned.

Are you talking to Generate a new world from scratch and then load into it afterwards; Or to load an existing save for which the world already exists?

Because if it's the former, Frankly, and I think I speak for a large part of the user base here: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you're a lucky SoaB. 5 minutes? It takes me like 45 to generate a new world with my potato.

If it's the latter, that's a little odd. I can load an existing save in 5 minutes as well, So something might be up on your end.

Miscreated has sold over 1.5 mil copies afaik, and 250 people still play it, because of how the developers handled their project. Are the 1.5 mil a success? Yes of course. Is the game in a good state? No. Is the (former) playerbase happy about it? No. Do the devs of Miscreate...

The importance or lack thereof of the PVP crowd isn't even the primary point here. The reality is, This game was made for singleplayer and up to 8 player co-op, and they doubled the support for that for good measure, meaning you can get 16-20 player servers running if you really want to.

But it does not change that this game is for 1-8 people playing cooperatively.

It is not a PVP game. It was never meant to be a PVP game; TFP put in some basic options to allow for PVP at the express request of PVPers but made it clear that those small changes were all the focus they were going to put towards PVP. They don't want to take major development time out of other aspects of the game to balance pvp, they don't want to take time to fix glitches and exploits that exclusively effect a PVP experience. They don't want to put major attention to pvp.

Because, And let me restate it here, This is not a PVP game. It is a cooperative 1-8 player game. ... Read more

Regarding "much faster," the max speed for all vehicles is deliberately limited for the sake of performance, e.g. how fast the game can load chunk after chunk of voxels, entities etc. into memory.

If you're willing to cheat with the debug menu, check out the joke blimp sometime. :cozybrawlhalla1:

Will Madmole's statement from several years ago that he doesn't care about PVP gamers, because PVE gamers are the demographic that brings in the cash always be the philosophy here?

Will we thus really have to shoot teleporting players on 30-50 player servers forever while you remodel the zombies for the 20th time? It's 2021 now, it's considered normal to invest at least some 10 000 $ into a netcode for a multiplayer game.
Since you decided to double-post this for visibility, I'll repeat my responses again to your post in the developer diary.

The time it shows up is tied to the option; It should appear at 8am if it's set to morning, and i think 6pm if it's set to night; basically the first crack of thunder.

it wouldn't surprise me if you had checked in the morning before 8:00 (even at 7:59:59 it still isn't red) and didn't really think much of it till you heard the crack of thunder and looked at the sky.

Side note: moving this to General Discussions, since this is more of an advice/opinion question than one with an objective answer.

Doesn't sound like anything I've personally heard announced for this game. So, I guess that's a point in favor of you being driven crazy by proximity to zombies. :winter2019happyyul:

Jost might know more, He seems to keep abreast of all the news, and is likely to comment in this thread at some point, probably. (If you read this, Sorry for callin you out, Jost. :P)

You guys enjoy the way it works? The example about getting on top of the hospital would be way easier simply by jumping and stacking wooden frames under your feet... seems a bit off that the gyrocopter would be the worse option to get on top of tall buildings does it not?

That's an easy question. A bunch of countries flat out ban games with violence against children.

It flies like a plane because it's basically a plane-o-copter. It's not a helicopter- It's a gyrocopter. It achieves lift through forward momentum like a plane with wings; But uses helicopter like blades as a stand-in for heavier wings, allowing it to be lighter and achieve flight more easily.

Historically speaking, Gyrocopters were the in-between phase of going from Planes to Helicopters.

Edit: And to mention, As janky as it might feel, It's one of the most accurate representations of gyrocopter flight I've seen in a video game.

It is not lost permanently, but, you do lose access to the perk until such a time as your int reaches 8 again; be it via the glasses or via purchasing level 8 int properly.

This applies to ALL stat bonuses from items and foods- While active, you can purchase skills that require the raised stat; but when the temporary buff is removed, you lose access to the skill(s) till you get the requisite stat again.
