Oh, and that's not even touching on numerology where every single number has a whole bucket list of Very Important Meanings.

Suggestions are best in General Discussions (actually they’re even better in the official forums’ Pimp Dreams section, but I digress). I’ll move your thread there.

Yeah, no offense, but we don't need multiple threads for the same thing. Please take a look around before posting a thread.

Yeah, this is being addressed in a20. It is an issue.

That is definitely odd.. The only thing I can think is that you had access to the Advanced Engineering perk when you placed the faster two forges, but not when you placed the slower two... But iirc the 20% buff from Advanced Engineering should be dynamic..

Did you place two of the forges and someone else place the other two? Or is this in Singleplayer? And do you have Rank 1 Advanced Engineering, Or did you re-spec out of it via a fergettin elixir?

Originally posted by Teresa: Lathan, one of the devs, is a twich streamer when he is not working for tfp.

In his time off work, he developed the twitch integration on his own for he and his viewers to have fun with.

It turned out so well and he and his viewers enjoyed it so much, that he pitched to the rest of tfp the idea of adding it to the base game.

There was no paid tfp dev time or money associated with adding twitch integration. There will from now on need to be some time spent maintaining it, but that is all.
Oh, didn't know it was on his own time. As I suspected though, it was basically one person- not the whole team. Good drop of knowledge Teresa :winter2019happyyul:... Read more

You shouldn't be afraid to criticize. That said, Criticism in an open forum is a two way street- So even if you keep within the rules, You will get people who disagree with you and who will do so publicly and vehemently if you don't present yourself well- This is one of the major issues many so-called critics of the game have...

The reason for attributes (feel free to call them any other name) is that they add replayability.

A character build requires rules. Without those there is no incentive to try something new instead of the clearly optimal a-la-carte rangertankmage.

It's also makes it quick and easy to tell who can do what in a group without a one hour discussion about all of their super special GURPS builds.

When focusing on one tree you get a lot from this one tree earlier and cheaper and that incentivises playing more than one game. With a-la-carte systems players tend to gravitate towards their comfort build if they hit even minimal resistance - instead of embracing the new build and using the different approach that it favours.

I did not read all the suggestions for How It Should Work Instead. At a glance, some of them are definitely meandering all over the place without getting to a point and if th...

Originally posted by Dycart: Get ready for frustration. Though, it seems very well implemented, the viewers get so many points they can overwhelm you often.
Depends entirely on your viewer count, tbh...You get something like 1 point per 10 seconds for 5 minutes after a message is sent, ish.

So 30~ points per 5 minutes. Plus there's the cooldown on the spawning functions so the viewers can't just harass you 24/7 with enemies- there's always downtime. And that there are positive functions too mean you get helped as much as you get harassed, if your viewers aren't totally evil.

....You can absolutely get overwhelmed though.

It was planned that when water was fixed, it would be able to flow properly. The vault door was originally designed as a watertight door for underground bases to prevent flooding when it rained and your tunnel filled up with water) It was promoted that you would be able to set up aqueducts to take water from a source to your base. Water sources are not intended to be infinite either.
I don't know if the pipe was intended to be used as part of this system, but it seems like it could be.

Fixing water is extremely complex though, and would require a lot of focus from a large part of the dev team. As such, they have chosen to put off working on it until after all of the core features are in place.

Yes. Steam allows a maximum of 1GB total for cloud storage, and limits the size of each individual file.
100MB Maximum size for a call to ISteamRemoteStorage::FileWrite or ISteamRemoteStorage::FileWriteStreamWriteChunk
256MB May result in a non-optimal storage endpoint choice for the user's location, negatively impacting upload/download performance
Add to this, only the first 150MG is free. The more space you want to allow for your Bgame, the more it's going to cost you.

Just the primary file for a generated map can run 130MB. (This is optimized. It used to be 1GB+)
It's recommended that you have a minimum 30GB for your save files. My current game save is 8GB. All of my saves together is 25.5GB, and I clean that up regularly. (Also for reference, the 16k Darkness Falls map is 650MB)

When you get too many stickied threads, people using the game browser can't even see the regular posts. It's not like these people read the existing ones anyway? We get questions about what's coming in a20 regularly as well, and it's right up there at the top.

And if I were going to pick a link to use for mods, the Nexus is absolutely the last place I would list.
