I checked with the team on this and there was a bug causing MW embers to have much lower drop rates than intended. I'm still waiting to see how long the fix will take, but once it's in the drop rates should be back to what they were pre 1.0.3.

I'll reply again once the fix is live.

Hey Freelancers,

Below you will find the update notes for all of the fixes and improvements that the team has been working on. The current plan is for patch 1.0.3 to go out between 7am and 9am Central Time on March 9th.

Everyone here at BioWare is already hard at work on the next update to continue making Anthem better with each patch.

We thank you for all of your feedback, bug reports and support!

You mean cats? You definitely meant cats.

Ok both. Either way it's aDORable.

Great feedback :)

I think one of the cool things about lower level embers is particularly in Consumables, where we allow you to stack the same bonus across rarities, giving some utility to those lower level consumables. But there's always good places to balance and give players more agency over their currencies, so we're definitely always looking for opportunities to tune the economy.

Hey u/BrenonHolmes first, I want to say I appreciate all the work you all are putting into the game and I’m looking forward to playing it as it grows. Most of these people don’t understand how intense and time consuming it is to search thousands of lines of code to find one small error.

Second, my question. Any information on if there is a fix incoming or in the works for Titan’s Hail, the masterwork/legendary colossus ordinance launcher? It’s special skill (is now a detonator ability) doesn’t work at all.

I'm out today, but I can look into it tomorrow! 😊

Edit: Haven't forgotten about this, didn't get a chance to check it out today - I'll try to hit it up this weekend if I get a bit or on monday.

Yeah, so knowledgeable they don't know what Inscriptions are called or what Mark of Ruin is.

I definitely don’t know everything in my head at every moment. That is true.

This is a nice message. We know we have work to do. Stuff like this keeps us going.

The biggest thing we can ask for is if you have criticisms, make them constructive. In return we will continue to listen and do our best to make the game better

Thanks for finally admitting it instead of being smug and condescending. That being said I wanted to provide some constructive input into this:

-There is definitely a UI bug. It is purely superficial and likely the bug that you saw all the time. I understand that your dismissive comments were due to you only seeing this bug.

-There is definitely a true health bug, like we've been saying. I strongly believe this bug ONLY occurs when you are playing with a lower level javelin. Most likely due to scaling. For me I only get the true bug when playing with my lower levelled friends or when a random brings in a lower level into gm. I would suggest your testing team tries varying levels and switching from gm1 to hard or normal with a mismatched squad.

-There are probably millions of us that want Anthem to succeed and are willing to help out or stick with the tough release times, please don't be smug and dismissive like that. It doesn't help the game or the community...

Appreciate the constructive nature of your post :)

Agree for end game. Disagree for levelling.

Having it for levelling let’s friends of any level play together. That’s a huge barrier to entry for many people.

Quick Notes on this.

  • This list of stat abbreviations is accurate for the game right now. We have fixed many of the oddities and confusing things in this list and those fixes will come in a future patch. When those fixes are in we will update this sheet to keep it current.
    • examples - Shield Refresh and Delay swapped. Mag and Clip using the same name.
  • These stat descriptions will be in the game in a future patch.

I’m happy to say it’s my fault. As a leader of the team that is true.

You missed the point of my comment which is - don’t go blaming QA, that’s not how it works.

From my observations, damage modifiers stack additively. So for your first two questions it would be 225% and 400% respectively.

  1. 225. Percentage mods add together.
  2. 400.
  3. In that example you would be immune. Mods add together
  4. Nothing. Its a bug. One is the suit specific stat and the other is the local stat. We included it in this list because some folks will have both right now.

This is working as intended, yes. The trade off is meant to be - you take Javelin specific components for the base health. You take Universal Components for the higher primary inscriptions. its meant to be a trade off.

BTW, we are buffing nearly all of the universal components in an upcoming patch, so they won't feel so weak if you don't happen to roll a good inscription on them. And also - /spoiler masterwork versions of Universals are rolling out, so they will be a more viable choice.

At some point, I know you won’t have the answer now, can we get an explanation on what happened and how it was fixed? This feels a lot like a feature with unintended consequences rather than a typical bug, and I would feel better if I could understand what is actually going on when I’m shooting an enemy. Even after being told “everything is fixed now” it probably won’t feel that way if I don’t understand it.

Thanks for reading and addressing the concerns in here.

The short version is we wanted you to have a good experience when unlocking a new Javelin. As a result we did some things to the starter loot so you wouldn’t be gimped at first. It ended up being a bad idea. Here we are.

The presence here helps. The patches too. Keep it up.

Criticisms and suggestions are great. They can be phrased positively or constructively. It makes a big difference :)

Honest question. With so many broken or bugged issues on release. Was there an issue that effected QA before release? Something that your team encountered?

I think a lot of people are interested in understanding.

It’s a long a long topic. The short version is whatever issues exist, it’s on the team as a whole, not one discipline.
