That is incredible! :O

This is something we are still working on. PC and Xbox have received their applicable patches but PS4 has yet to patch. This is unrelated to the server hardware or its installation. We should hopefully have this fixed for PS4 very soon.

Sorry it took so long, it was a bugger!

What happens to the unfortunate fools like myself that ran the hard Rag before knowing it didn't unlock anything? I don't have an island server and certainly don't have time to find one and get all the requirements to unlock engrams I rightfully earned.

We're spreading them out - then you can run the rag boss again.

Thanks for reporting this, we're looking into it. It looks like a UI issue at this time.

I haven’t tried playing since update day, are the servers still shafted?

Hi there! I haven't been on holiday. I live in Canada and was flown out to Seattle for the Homestead release, and then flown back home. Transit isn't super easy as it takes me two flights both ways. However I've been doing my best to keep our Twitter up-to-date, and posting announcements on the top of survivetheark.com.

This usually means your server is not up to date. When we deploy we lock transfer until the server has been updated. I can check this if you tell me what server it is.

As u/laurencei mentioned we did remove this feature, but apparently forgot to remove the text for it. We'll make sure that gets tidied up.

Working on that one now.

And now I see Jen's reply. :)

We have a potential fix that we're testing now.

Maybe! I have to figure it out in Ark Server Manager :)

In any case, this post wasn't meant to be a discussion about cryopods yes/no, just a suggestion for a workaround for the new kibble system since right now is not really profitable to risk to imprint 100% anything less than a very good rex/giga or such, because extraordinary kibble is so difficult to make.

I think you have to add "-ActiveEvent=WinterWonderland" to the Launcher Args.

Thank you for answering.

I get it. And I don't envy your job, I understand that a player base such as this can be very demanding. There also isn't a nice way to tell people 'hey this isn't really a question u need to waste my time on, your solution is on google', but even that would be better than radio silence.

I tried that for a while tbh. But keep in mind that 300 messages was just overnight. Not including what came in throughout the day. Just reading all those messages takes hours much less responding to them all. It just isn't feasible to respond to all that unfortunately. I do what I can.

60,000 players per day, on Steam alone. Not including Xbox, not including PS4.
There are roughly 60 employees (employees -- not developers) at WildCard. That's one employee per 1,000 users, IF they are all answering questions. It is much more likely that there are one or two people actively answering questions while people are doing the actual work of programming/fixing/running company business.
So, for each person actively answering questions, there are 30,000 Steam users to support. Again, not including Xbox or PS4 users.

Now, Reddit is just one outlet where they can answer questions. Then there's Facebook. And Instagram. And so on.
Most of the time, they're already aware of the problem -- should they answer all 30,000 inquiries when something goes wrong, and cover every conceivable outlet to answer questions?

Most people are generally unaware of the logistics involved, and have probably never been involved in tech support.

I actually used to respond to all DMs I got on discord until one day where I checked and had 300 DMs waiting for me when I logged in. It really really cuts into the time I have to do work when I have to answer everyone. Usually it is questions that could be answered by googling. :(

I still answer what I can but I had to cut myself off or I'd get no work done.

Aye - they shouldn't be able to be stored in them, investigating.
