What if you disconnect the machine from the internet then start and make a new campaign save?

Does this happen without alt-tabbing?

If so can I get a new error.log plus system.log and exceptions.log

And your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .

I'm afraid we cannot help with modded games here at all. Does this also happen in a campaign that's never has any mods used in it, AND was started since 1.9.0.4 came out?

From what you say this must be a bug! Please make a new thread in Bug Reports, and attach those saves there for QA to look into.

I'm not aware of this as a reported bug in any game version.

If you start a new unmodded test game under 1.9.0.4 does it still happen?

Your machine does not meet any of the game's hardware requirements I'm afraid, which are:
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-2120 / AMD® FX 6350
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia® GeForce™ GTX 660 (2GB) / AMD® Radeon™ HD 7870 (2GB) / Intel® Iris Pro™ 580 / Intel® Iris® Plus G7 / AMD® Radeon™ Vega 11
Unless you have access to a machine that does, please seek a refund from where you bought the game.

It is normal for the game to take a long time to start up.

We can't help with modded games here. In your vanilla situation, are you testing this with a new campaign? Because loading a campaign that had mods used in it previously is not a good test of the problem!

The only way to fix bugs on consoles is to release a fixed patch. Have you reported this in Bug Reports?

Most likely you have opted into that version in the Steam betas tab for this game, which tells Steam you don't want to update.

Opt out of all betas there and 1.9.0.4 will be applied.

I don't know then. This has happened ever since you installed the game on this new machine, is that right? It's never worked well here?

Are HOI4 and Stellaris affected too, or just CK3?

I am sorry then, I cannot see what has happened in this machine to cause this to you. Especially, why just CK3? I wonder if Vic3 would also do it to you on this machine.

If it's Windows issue a Windows Reset would probably fix it, but if it comes from hardware or external sources, that won't of course.

Make a new Windows user on this machine and log into it with that, is the problem any better then?

You are probably using a different ISP and internet router/modem, would that be right? If so there may be a firewall issue here now.

If you have a VPN try connecting to the internet with that before you start the game; does that help?

I don't have exactly that either and it works fine for me (I do have System/Library/Frameworks/CoreHaptics.framework/Versions/CoreHaptics and System/Library/Frameworks/CoreHaptics.framework/Versions/A/ ). So that error is not the cause of your launcher or game problem.

Nevertheless if you are on MacOS 10.13 that is not supported. Now there is a game bug here because it doesn't work on 10.14 either, yet that is a supported version. So when they fix th... Read more

If there are no mods involved and this game was started under the 1.9.x patches, it pretty much has to be a game bug I'm afraid.

Please make a new thread in Bug Reports and attach the save file there for QA t look into.
