Do you still get Warning 2 and Error 1 when this game crashes?

Please add all these to the exceptions list of your antivirus app:

ck3.exe (in the Steam CK3-binaries folder)
dowser.exe (in the Steam CK3-launcher folder)

C:/users//AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2022.7/paradox launcher.exe

C:/users//AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file ... Read more

I think the DCOM ones are cosmetic, but the others look potentially serious.

Do you have a source of Windows support who can help you with those?

We have three possible workarounds that may solve it:

Disable IPv6
- Close CK3
- Go to Control Panel > View Network status and tasks > Change adapter settings (left side)
- Find your Hamachi Connection and Disable it
- Find your Internet connection adapter (for me, it was WiFi)
- Right click your internet adapter and select properties
- Scroll down to find "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and uncheck the box
- Select Ok
- Start up CK3 and should work.

Disable all other network adapters
Go to Windows Control panel.
Click on Network & Internet.
Click on View Network Status.
Quick Tip: You can also quickly access these settings by right-clicking the network icon in the taskbar and selecting the Network & Internet settings option.
Click on Change adapter options.
Right-click all network adapters that are not connected to the internet and select the Disable option.

If you revert to the previous patch in the Steam Betas tab for this game, does that still happen?

And, what antivirus appo do you use? Make sure the new ck3.exe is allowed through it.

And finally, does a Steam screenshot work?

Well, if this is happening in two unrelated games I'd say you have an issue outside those games, basically Windows or hardware.

Are there ERROR or WARNING entries in the Windows Event Viewer leading up to these crashes?

In the launcher Game Settings menu select Display mod fullScreen, Vsync off, refresh rate 60. Is that any better?

That error.log looks the same, as you can see.

In that dxdiag we see many LiveKernelEvent entries. They happen when the machine is forcibly downed or rebooted. have you seen that happen, is it related to this game or something else?

For the D#D error let's try a clean reinstall of the AMD driver:

- Uninstall it with this https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx
- reboot
- install the very latest from here http://support.amd.com/en-us/downlo... Read more

I don't believe that situation would even have been tested, so I guess the short answer is I simply do not know!

When you say "the client" do you mean Steam, our launcher, or the game? Of those only Steam is a true client, that's all!

Not looking good from that error.log, I have to say. There is a problem mod in there, for a start.

lease do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-CK3
- unsubscribe from ALL mods in the Steam workshop
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

Don't spam the same topic in multiple forums, especially for the wrong game. You already posted in the tech support section for CKII.
