In the launcher, game settings set Display mode to fullScreen. Vsync off and refresh rate cap to 60. Is that any better?

What if you only delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/launcher-v2.sqlite , is that enough to get it working again?

If so we have some launcher or antivirus issue I believe.

So, where can I set this? I couldn't find any setting like this in the nvidia settings and tools I have installed...
I went I to my computers display settings and in the nvida controller it was there to turn the SLI off. Or in the geforce experience video contrer program I could turn if off there.

That's odd, because the underlying Clausewitz game engine is pretty similar between CK2 and HOI4, whereas with CK3 it is greatly changed and updated. Really not sure what to make of that!

In any case I don't think this is something you or I can fix here. If you wish to pursue it please make new threads in the Bug Reports forums for those two games, with all the above info included.

Given the limited impact of the issue I'm not sure what level of priority it will get, but at least it will have been brought to QA's attention!

Please try the following:

- unsubscribe from all mods in BOTH the Steam Workshop and the Paradox mod site mods.paradoxplaza.com
- delete the folder Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/mod/
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/mods_registry.json (if present)
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/launcher-v2.sqlite (if present)
- run the game up and check the launcher is okay with no mod or other errors
- subscribe to a few mods

- run the game up and see if those mods are now available to you.

I hope that does it for you!

Okay, I recommend at least a 32gb maximum these days, in some cases up to 64gb!

So far as I know all our games use the Windows default sound device, and have no option to select otherwise. Do you find this with say CK2 and HOI4 also?

I was only looking at physical memory. To get that many page faults I'd think you might be short of memory overall, perhaps running a lot of other stuff at the same time?

If you exit all other apps before starting the game does that still happen? What size page file do you have? I recommend at least 16gb these days, in some cases up to 64gb.

BTW where is that dialog? It's not one I'm familiar with.

Etshy said: I have a GoXlr mini and I put all my game on the "Game" audio channel.
I'm not familiar with this functionality or device I'm afraid. I rather suspect it is not in the test suite that QA use for our games either!

Have you contacted its supplier?

Is that only when using mods? What do you see when all of them are disabled?

In the main game menu ck3.exe uses 2.4gb on my modest rig. At the start of a new game, 3.6gb.

You're already in Tech Support.

I don't really follow your problem:

Can you clarify what you are saying here please?

Bluescreens are always hardware or driver problems. You may see more detail of the issue in the Windows Event Viewer entries leading up to, or for, the BSoD.

If you've updated all drivers, particularly video ones, then you might next consider a clean Windows wipe and reinstall, OR taking the machine to a trusted computer shop to get it checked out.

Sorry that's happened to you!

On the desktop PC go to Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/, in ther eis last_save.ck3 . That may be a copy of that campaign, depending on your recent activity there. To change copy it to the /save games/ folder there.

Whether that preserves the Ironman status I'm not sure though.

FYI there is no copy kept by Steam of overwritten saves in their cloud, so far as I know.

JohnnyChuang said: More than 10 bugs report for saving issue on console, but seems nothing fixed still. Further worse, we can't get refund on console! Only watch my empire been reset every time I want to save.
Console patches always take longer to get out than PC ones, because they have to be vetted by both Sony and MS before release. We have no say over how long they take on that. And of course if they find a problem the whole cycle has to start again!

Sorry for the delay but console fixes will arrive!

We have three possible workarounds that may solve it:

Disable IPv6
- Close CK3
- Go to Control Panel > View Network status and tasks > Change adapter settings (left side)
- Find your Hamachi Connection and Disable it
- Find your Internet connection adapter (for me, it was WiFi)
- Right click your internet adapter and select properties
- Scroll down to find "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and uncheck the box
- Select Ok
- Start up CK3 and should work.

Disable all other network adapters

  1. Go to Windows Control panel.
  2. Click on Network & Internet.
  3. Click on View Network Status.
Quick Tip: You can also quickly access these settings by right-clicking the network icon in the taskbar and selecting the Network & Internet settings option.
  4. Click on Change adapter options.
  5. Right-click all network adap...

You may find it slower, reducing graphics quality and resolution may help with that.

But that shows that you have a problem in the video area, DirectX 11 in Windows, something else in Windows' graphics stuff, the video driver, or video card.
