outside of that? it feels like we're going backwards. welcome back to D2 Vanilla

Y'know - this has been a concern on many of our minds since the tuning began. A lot of abilities have been dominating the PvP space for years now. While many of the goals outlined in the TWAB today are stepping abilities back a bit in PvP, there was no desire to return specifically to D2Y1 ability regen and cooldown.

Something to note is that a ton of the work being done for this update was to unlock the ability to tune abilities in a more granular fashion. Not just timers, but damage and other aspects of each ability as well.

The team will be watching feedback when these changes roll out on the 7th. Nothing here is set in stone, and it's pretty exciting to think that we can now go through feedback about say, tiers of supers, and have the ability to change ability cooldowns / how quickly you can earn the supers to bring them in line (rather than nerfing damage output or something like that.)

All of this is to say, we totally understand the concerns he...

No reason to actually buy BL since Behemoth is still garbage

Let us know what all you don't like about the Behemoth changes and we will pass along that feedback.

Team is looking at Gambit during the year of Witch Queen. Understand the frustration on silence. We've made some hints along the way, but have yet to say anything specific.

Trials and Trials Labs are our first swing at updating support for ritual activities. This isn't just a testbed for improving Trials, but looking at our internal processes for patchwork and prioritization so we can improve our workflows for future ritual support.

Stay tuned.

Ah, and Re: Weekly Trials population dip - this is expected for many modes in Destiny 2. As a season winds down, we see populations dip in various activities. We've held a pretty healthy trajectory thanks to the improvements, but still have some iteration to do. We'll continue to provide updates in TWABs and such on what we're planning.

It's been awesome being able to provide frequent updates. Team is doing a lot on the backend to understand "What does it mean to revamp a ritual during a given season? How much work and time will it take leading up to the revamp, how many hotfixes might it need, what matchmaking tuning can we do with little wake?" - etc.

While they can't address every piece of feedback in hotfixes, they've been doing some great work on this. Cheers to those who have been giving constructive feedback. Has made conversations pretty easy internally on "how did players take this, what did they like, what didn't they like"

I’m gonna need to see your AARP card.

Last time you asked me for something, it was a username swap. That was five years ago. I think we both get the senior discount round these parts.

Hey all,

Looks like Cabal Slug Launchers will be fixed in the December patch. Other instances of higher damage taken due to framerate are currently under investigation. Can't give a timeframe on when they'll be addressed, but the team is digging.

If you find more instances of this, please make sure to report them on the Help forum over at Bungie.net.

Hi all. The team has been investigating this issue. Would anyone know of solid repro steps to get this issue to occur?

Hey there, Guardians. We’re on the hunt for some Destiny 2 hero stories from the community for an upcoming Bungie project. These could be big, epic moments, or smaller things that you always appreciate; things you always go out of your way to do, or something you can count on a friend for.

Did you go flawless in Trials? Defeat Taniks nanoseconds before he wiped you? Solo a Nightfall? Did you watch someone dodge the final blow of a Dungeon boss to rez their whole fireteam? Do you always show Kinderguardians in the wild how to trigger a heroic public event? Or lead them through a Raid, showing them where all the secret chests are? When you visit the Tower, do you make sure you summon the giant ball and bring the fireworks? Or maybe you’re the first to lead a dance party or answer someone’s nagging lore question? Even the little things can stand out for your fireteam (and even strangers). So whatever they are, we’d love to hear your stories and opinions on what can make someon...

Any word on a Nothing Manacles fix? It was mentioned a few TWABs ago, but no word since

No update. This investigation is on a longer timeline due to other projects in flight. Once we have updates, we'll let you know.

Hey, can you please look at reworking trials ranks?

If a "scrub" plays 10 games of trials a week and cant get 7 wins, they get:

4 engrams the first week, 2 the next and then 1 or 0 every week until reset.

That may be why trials seemed so popular in the first week: loot WAS raining. After the first couple weeks, for the players that need the rank engrams the most, it becomes unreasonably difficult to get loot.

I suggest for, trials only (if you want to keep others the same), the ranks be set to 625 points per rank. That means anyone playing ~7 games should get SOMETHING the week they play.

Team is looking at rep gains. Don't have any specifics, but it's a topic of conversation!

Once we have more info, we'll let you know.

Got in touch with the team, here's some info straight from their keyboards:

Fighting Lion wasn't a specific problem before we reworked the weapon, but given increasing frustration with breech grenade launchers in crucible it seemed like a misstep to say "we hear you" and "here's an infinite ammo version of that thing you're frustrated about" in the same patch

It has become clear through hands on, feedback, and backend data that the full nerf isn't needed, so we're adjusting it in the 30th Anniversary patch

Note: This is not a full rollback - there's still a difference between "almost infinite ammo" and "actually infinite ammo" in how weapons are used, so we want to make sure we don't create a monster.

Here's a quick patchnote preview for December:

  • Removed the multi-hit requirement for the reload speed buff
  • Increased the buff to the reload stat
  • i.e. reload will still be sl...

I haven't seen it in any known issues lists, in any of the TWABs, or any acknowledgement on the forums. It sucks to miss out on 12 months of data on these stat trackers, and I would hate to miss out on more.

For example, Stormcaller defeats, Dawnblade defeats, Voidwalker defeats, and Motes Banked metrics have not had their values increase since Beyond Light came out last November, and I've definitely been playing on those subclasses!

I have a bunch of screenshots of stat trackers before a match, the Gambit PGCR, and then after to ...

Hey, thanks for the info! Question, have you posted a thread on the Help forums of Bungie.net? With Destiny accounts linked, this gives the team extra info for investigation and such.
