When you run the same from Steam you get a small dialog where you choose MP type. Two of the options are Steam and Nakama. If you chose Steam before, as it sounds like, please both choose Nakama instead - any different?  

This is an issue we are working on with MS.

1. Search for "Powershell"
2. Run it
3. Type Get-AppXPackage *ParadoxInteractive* -> 'Enter'
4. For each owned game you should have a list of DLCs in the Dependencies field.
5. Confirm it has entries you would expect to have (it should match with what you own, so if you bought Stellaris Utopia you should see it there)
6. Type licensingdiag -> 'Enter'
7. Wait a little bit
8. You should see a folder with a .cab file being selected. Please attach that file here.

CK3 is a much newer game and not particularly comparable. Does this also affect our similar games CK2 and HOI4?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.  

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

Is this just in one particular campaign? Or also in a new one you might start as a test?

Whether you are using Steam or Nakama MP option at launch, try the other one - any different?  

If this is an unmodded game with a reproducible crash, you should make a new thread in Bug Reports and attach the game file there.

You use the Attach Files button below this text field to do that.

Me either, honestly. Do you have Catalyst loaded? If so try unloading, it may be getting in the way.
