UPDATE: Service was reliable all weekend so we’ll call this case closed!
UPDATE: Paypal payments have been re-enabled and we are monitoring it to ensure it’s working properly.
Due to a technical issue downstream from CCP, we have had to temporarily disable Paypal as a payment option in the EVE Online store (https://secure.eveonline.com). We will re-enable the option as soon as the issue is resolved by our partners.

We are aware of issues currently experienced by players who are attempting to log in. This issue is also impacting the Vanguard First Strike playtest.

Timeline:
12:40 - Players encountering errors when attempting to log into game or web site.
12:55 - Early investigations are pointing to a problem with the SSO (single sign on, used to log in) which is having a cascading impact on other services. Players online should not be impacted unless they attempt to log out and then log back in.

Read moreThere is an option in the settings menu where you can change the default behavior, so you do not have to change the options for every account.
Ctrl+F opens up the spotlight menu, which has all kinds of quick-access stuff.
The menu options merely fill in the prefix of the search bar, so if you really don’t want to use the mouse to start a client you can do something like: Ctrl+F

As users of the EVE Portal app have noticed and pointed out in recent months the reliability of the app has been steadily declining. When problems arose, we deployed fixes which proved to be only temporary as new issues manifested. After a thorough technical review, we have concluded that the EVE Portal app does not have a robust enough foundation for its ongoing maintenance or further development.
After careful consideration, we have decided that the prudent course of action is to deprecate the app, effective immediately. Support for EVE Portal has now officially ceased, we have started the process of shutting down the technical infrastructure and the app is being removed from the app stores.
We know that many players appreciated the convenience the app provided, allowing them to manage their characters, skill queues and EVE mail from their mobile devices, and so this is disappointing news. We share your disappointment and would like to extend our t...
