We're aware of these issues and have some fixes coming in a future update! Hang tight, I know it's frustrating right now but it's a bit more complicated than it seems.
This has been happening to me quite often over the past couple of weeks or so. u/ladydevann is this something that is already known to the team? It is happening on Fallout 1st worlds for me.
I'll take a closer look at this and see if I can get a solution for you guys!

What about the social issues?

Ferret actually answered this one during our AMA recently here.
For NPCs going inconsistently going hostile - there's a balance. If anyone involved in a quest goes hostile - since everyone sees the same world, it could be super frustrating that someone you need is dead. And there are other times where we tried letting some people die and it opened up a lot of bugs. So we balanced fun vs. bugs.

I see the entire crafting process normally but nothing happens in the end.
For ex. If I were to build a Wooden Board i would be able to go into the weps bench, select what I want, it shows what materials it will take (which I have plenty of) and than I attempt to craft it. Everything seems normal and the game makes the crafting noise like I completed it but I obtain nothing, gain no exp and it just lets continue to craft anything I want.
I cant craft anything in work benches but I can still make things in my camp.
