This is a lazy response but rather than re-type all this, easier to just point you HERE. (TL;DR create custom MP maps/edit maps/build new ways to play Halo MP)

Ok, I'm going to bite at this one more time...

Nearly 50K Insiders were invited to the last flight if we're being transparent here. Of that, a tiny fraction were what I'd call "popular streamers" or "MVPs."

Do we intentionally invite some of those folks? Of course we do. They are people who grind in the name of Halo day in and day out. They choose to play and stream and support Halo and the community. Our goals for flighting aren't about PR - we're not looking to pay streamers to drive a big marketing hit for an unreleased game - but we do want to make sure some of the people who work to grow and support Halo are with us on this journey.

Someone points out "look at Ubernick… he's been in all three flights." Yes, yes he has. He's also an official HCS Grassroots partner. That means he's worked and grinded and committed himself to creating constant content and, in our opinion, helping to keep the scene and community thriving. If anyone else wants to put in t...

Curious if anyone here is participating in the xCloud Public Preview? Alas I don't have an Android device, so besides my brief hands-on with Halo 5 at E3, I haven't gotten much personal time with the service yet.

Spots are limited overall, but our friends at Xbox are very eager to get more experienced Halo players into the program to help test and give feedback on how Halo 5 is shaping up on the service. We've provided them with a big list of "highly engaged" Halo 5 players that they can use to cross-reference against people who sign up - so, hardcore Halo 5 players should have better odds of getting accepted into the program!

For now the xCloud Public Preview is only available to players in the US and UK (and a separate instance for Korea) and you'll need a phone or tablet running Android 6.0 or higher with Bluetooth 4.0 and a Bluetooth-enabled Xbox One wireless controller.

If you'd like to try out playing Halo 5 on your Android device, streaming from the...

I just pinged the team this AM - I think they're trying to get these granted by EOD tomorrow, give or take. Hang in there, they're coming. :)

I'm told there was an "issue" (unfortunately I don't have details) and it was resolved yesterday evening. This was the first I've seen these reports, to our knowledge there aren't any systemic/consistent problems here. But, if you do encounter recurring issues, please do send up a flare so we can alert the right folks.

Yes, there are EU servers (and other parts of the world) - but in most instances the population at any given time is quite low across EU, Australia, etc.. which means players in those regions usually end up matching into NA servers. Originally there were stricter rules in place which led to some backlash and complaints about "region locking" so now players in lower pop areas can get into matches, but it usually means connecting to a datacenter further away. One thing the team has said they'd like to do is add an option for players to just manually select which datacenter they want to connect to - even if it means they'll have to wait longer for a match. Not totally sure when that would come online, but it's on their list and something they want to do to further help address this feedback.

I don't believe we've run the grant for the nameplates yet.

That would be cool but unfortunately we don't have access or permissions to send Xbox system messages to players. No game studios really have that ability - only the platform itself. Which, as a gamer, is probably a good thing or you'd quickly get spammed by every single game you've ever played. :)

Unfortunately no, it can't really work that way. All the pieces of the game are intertwined so we can't just ship Campaign and not MP (or vice versa). Development is still moving along - this flight was a big milestone for the team.

If you look at the link JBurton provided, it outlines the quit ban lengths.

3 hours is not one of them on that list.

What's your Gamertag?

3 hour quit bans do not exist.

Always loved this photo - what a great crew we had. And to this date it's still completely shocking how small our team was. (I'm up top in the middle behind Tyson "Ferrex" Green") So many incredibly talented youngsters :)
