We don’t intend to extend that policy to overarching game systems, though we do heavily monitor community sentiment and if we find that changes to systems like this are preferred to be adjusted at Cycle patches we’ll start to lean that way.

We’ll continue to adjust the game and our approaches as we find what is preferred. Just know that we’re listening/closely monitoring and we’re willing to make adjustments based on feedback.

Items that were found as a result of a CoF bonus have a CoF rank requirement. Any of those are eligible.

One more question if you don't mind about the 'shared enhancements' node on Ballista.

Based on how you said things with work penetration (that the node DOESN'T apply to penetration) I assume it also doesn't work with other things that increase your 'damage' overall, but aren't explicitly adding raw damage.

For example, it wouldn't work with 'Attack Speed'. Because even though attack speed technically increases your damage, it itself is not a 'damage' stat, it just augments your damage stats.

Therefore, the only 'Attack Speed' that would benefit Ballista's are minion attack speed, Ballista Attack Speed, and Attack Speed from the Ballista's tree itself.

Is how I'm conceptualizing that correct?

It's very rigid. So you can't make a case for why something technically increased your damage. Attack speed does generally increase your damage but what if you can only cast spells or you deal 0 damage? Then attack speed does not increase your damage.

No, only the damage stat is damage. Attack speed is the attack speed stat.

He is a very easy chart to tell if it's a damage stat or not.

Is it worded like [optional tag] [optional tag] damage?

Yes? Yes.

No? No.

It doesn't matter if that in most cases it will end up making you deal more damage. Only damage is damage.

This is just a quick hotfix to revert a tooltip change which stated a change that was not actually made.

Changes

  • Reverted a tooltip change for Gambler’s Fallacy and Soul Gambler’s Fallacy which stated they did not work with channeled skills.
    • This was wording only and functionality has remained unchanged.
    • This is a change we are intending for 1.1, and the description change got through early. To be transparent, this is a change we are intending, though we are planning to go over Disintegrate at the same time providing it with buffs to compensate and stand better on its own instead of relying on this singular item interaction.

Hello Travelers!

Today’s blog is a little different from our usual fare. As most of you know, Last Epoch launched on February 21, and the reception has been amazing. In the first week after launch, over 1.4 million of you logged in to play Last Epoch. At our peak, we had just under 265,000 players all roaming Eterra simultaneously. That’s good enough for the 39th highest all-time concurrent player count recorded on Steam, and we’re humbled by your support and enthusiasm for the game.

There’s plenty of cause for celebration, but let’s not ignore the obvious: Last Epoch’s launch was pretty rough for the majority of you who play online. Your patience and positivity have been amazing, but it was obviously not the launch experience that you or we had hoped for.

Now that the initial launch woes are behind us, it’s time to reflect on the experience. What happened? We put a strong emphasis on testing our servers and infrastructure ahead of time, so what did we get wrong...

This sounds quite similar to the issue Warpath->Rebuke was experiencing. Is this still occuring after the patch where we fixed this interaction with Warpath and Rebuke?

We have nothing against power leveling your friends - it’s why you can skip straight to monoliths in a party, or to get your mastery. Quests have no level requirement at all for this as we want players to be able to group up and play together as smoothly as possible. However gaining experience for being in a particular zone without “being in that zone” as you were immune is not an intended part of playing, and was resulting in power leveling being a bit too strong. You can still power level your friends - just can’t be AFK for it.

If you’re connected to an old server, such as a pre-existing town, or joining a group which has the same monolith server from before the patch, it can cause these kinds of mismatches to occur for a short while after the patch goes live. The servers should cycle out over the next hour resolving these few discrepancies of old data / stats not displaying correctly. If you go into a new area, everything should be up to date immediately as it requests a new server (this is not the case with entering new echoes in monolith of fate, all of monolith of fate is one server).

Changes

  • Players can no longer stun themselves. An example of this was by using the Signet of Agony node in Bone Curse
  • Replaced the XP Tome sound effect in Echo of a World
  • Flagged more prophecy rewards as “rare/valuable” (which animates them to rotate and makes them slightly larger than other stars in the Constellation)
  • Increased the favor cost multiplier for Glyph of Despair Prophecies
  • You can no longer gain experience while in the grace period (the period of invulnerability after arriving to a new area)
  • Added missing name in Graveyard
  • Overhauled terrain, spawners, and shrines in the Hidden Oasis Echo Map to both improve visuals, and performance, and fix hideable issues with palms
  • Overhauled visuals ...

Yo Judd, thanks for you and your team putting together such an awesome game. Disintegrate node "paralyze" (new in 0.9 or thereabouts) is bugged and not providing more damage. Submitted a bug report this morning, but I fully expect this will become your team's TOP PRIORITY.

There's one thing this build needs, and it's 250% more damage.

New content can wait, I want more melting.

We have some plans for disintegrate to bring its power up and make it a bit cooler! Not sure if it’ll be in for 1.1 but we’re going to try.

I’ll bring up that node with the team

EHG is in favor. We'll need some time to make it happen in the way we're envisioning it.

I think I played WoW for like 3 years more than I would have if I couldn't play dress-up with all of my alts. Haha.

To be clear, there could be a dupe but if there is our team is not currently aware of it. When there was a real one previously we received a lot of messages and videos on how to reproduce it and we were able to fix it very quickly. Since we’re not getting those I assume this is either a remnant of the one we fixed from before or a new method exists but is not widespread.
