This update is currently available on Steam and will be released to Standalone within an hour or two. EDIT: 0.8c is now available on Standalone.

If you opted-in to testing Beta 0.8b, you will need to switch back to the default version of the game to receive this update.

Right click on Last Epoch in your Steam library, then navigate to Properties -> Betas and select “default” from the dropdown.

Note: Last Epoch requires a Last Epoch account for all users.

If you are a new user since the release of Beta 0.8 you will now need to register an account with Beta 0.8c. You will be presented a registration screen upon entering the game after the update. This will not affect any saved data.

Social Features

Are your headphones usb or 3.5mm headphone jacks?

This is a really interesting work around and I’m curious to know if it’s consistently one type or the other.

Great feedback and thank you for taking the time to make thoughtful potential solutions as well.

Your characters are stored locally. I’m on mobile so I can’t type out the exact path with perfect accuracy but it’s something like:

C:/users/user name/Appdata/locallow/eleventh hour games/last epoch/saves

Backup this folder just in case.

When you switch to steam it will likely ask you if you want to use the saves on the steam cloud or use your local saves. Likely you’ll want to pick your local saves as they should have a newer date.

If you pick the wrong one, just restore the backup you made in the first part.

The only rewards that are activated yet are pets. Pets in general are temporarily deactivated while we transition our back end over to a new setup. When that’s done you’ll get your pet rewards. There is nowhere to spend or view cosmetic coins yet but don’t worry it’s all linked to your account.

What I mean by it - difference of even two tiers in modifier won't make a huge difference, wheres for example in PoE scaling is very exponential and difference of 2 tiers on damage modifiers on weapons is basically a difference between utter vendor trash an BIS item.

It depends on the affix. There are many cases where a difference of 2 tiers will more than double the value, but there are also cases where there's a smaller increase.

It mostly depends on how impactful small amounts of a stat feels and how much a stat's relative power drops off with level. For example an added melee physical damage affix approximately doubles its value every two tiers, because you get a lot more added melee damage from your weapon at higher levels and the affix's power needs to increase similarly to keep up in relevance at higher tiers. However something like increased cooldown recovery speed has few sources and doesn't have to keep up with any enemy properties such as health, so 10% increased cooldown recovery speed matters about as much in end game as it does in early game. Consequently the increased cooldown recovery speed affix has smaller increases per tier, so that we can make it feel noticeable early on without it becoming too powerful at end game.

Item affixes do have tiers with higher values. At higher levels items spawn with higher tier affixes on average and items with higher combined affix tiers have a higher level requirement. You can view the tiers of an item's affixes by holding ctrl and alt while hovering over it.

Tiers 1 to 5 can also be crafted using affix shards (e.g. using a dexterity shard on an item with a tier 1 dexterity affix will improve that affix to tier 2 dexterity). Tiers 6 and 7 are drop only and can only be found in end game content.

Yea maybe a player.log would help as well.

It would be very useful if we could get some clips of this happening. But it does sound strange.

Yay! I love it when people do the math. You are absolutely spot on. We’ve come up with a way to make it not show up in the character sheet so it’ll appear correctly in a couple hotfixes from now.

Hi there!

Thanks so much for joining us on Kickstarter.

Our support site can presently be found at https://support.lastepochgame.com/, however it will be moving to https://support.lastepoch.com/ in the very near future.

To help me look into this for you, could you please tell me;

  • When did you first register your Last Epoch account?
  • Have you submitted the Kickstarter Reward Survey?
    • If so, when did you send that to us?

Hi! We’ve been monitoring the situation since Patch 0.8b was deployed, and we have made the decision to pull this update to perform additional QA. Your client being reverted to Patch 0.8 when it is once again available will resolve the various issues seen this evening. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

You can re-load Steam and download this rolled back client to play again for now while we address this.
