Well, here’s hoping it keeps going smooth. If you do notice any correlation between specific other programs running and crashes happening, I would be very interested to know. We have some general fixes to some crashes that people are having coming down the pipe.

I went through it last night and it doesn’t have anything conclusive as to what is causing the issue. The massively repeated error that is there appears in many logs that aren’t having crashing issues so it might be related but we don’t have enough information yet on the issue.

If you have a second monitor, could you monitor your system memory usage while playing to see if it’s capping out?

In 0.7.7, we switched our saving method and it had some unfortunate interactions with system crashes. We are sorry that this is happening and we have a new solution that is in late stage testing right now. For the time being, if you are experiencing frequent crashes, I would advise keeping a manual backup. If you need help doing this, let me know.

Ah, I found the issue. The visual range is not scaled the first time the minion gets downed. Subsequent times work fine. Thanks for the report!

It’s intended for this node to have a casting time, it isn’t supposed to be instant. If you’re holding down another ability key when you cast Drain Life, you’re probably cancelling the “settle” portion of the animation which makes it look a bit awkward but allows you to take action sooner.

Warpath applies a “20% less movement speed” modifier while you’re channeling, which is multiplicative with other modifiers, so you won’t see an increase of 40%. I’ll get some confirmation on how the number is calculated, however.

The friends list is a separate problem we’re aware of-- let’s focus on Chat.

Your log file (player-prev) states that the game failed to connect to the chat server at all, which is different that the issue people have had in the past. Has chat ever worked for you? Does the chat window have error messages in it or do you not see it at all?

It may be a network issue on your end, unfortunately.

Could you list examples of what nodes don’t seem to make the visual larger? A screenshot/video would help too.

I tested with the Beastmaster node “Feline Bond” and it seemed to be working as intended.

Actually, it seems like Drain Life is only positioned that high when you have the Dark Shackles node, so that’s definitely a bug. Thanks for the report!

Ageless Ascetic is coded as Health Leech on Hit (meaning it won’t leech for damage over time effects nor show in the character sheet), but the tooltip was changed by mistake when we re-wrote the tooltips. I suspect it’s the same problem for your Idol.

I recognize the current situation is definitely clunky for determining exactly what stats you have and how they all affect others, and we’ll aim to improve this in the future.

Ohhh I should have noticed that in the screenshot. I see the logic for not requiring it to be on the bar, but this is working as intended.

Player.log is the right file, as a text file it compresses very well. If you give it a zip it should work better.

I’ve tested this internally and it seems like the poison from Soul Feast is specifically dealing less damage to the player. Enemies take the same amount. We’ll look into this, thanks for the report!

Sorry for the late reply. If you’re re-casting Aura of Decay, it makes sense for it to never ramp up. Aura of Decay is toggled, so when you cast it no ailments are applied until the cooldown is finished and you cast it again. This also resets the duration Aura of Decay is active for, which means it will apply much slower than otherwise.

Sorry to hear about this! If you’re not able to find the log file, you probably need to enable the “Hidden Items” option for File Explorer, which is under the View tab at the top.

Alternatively, press the Windows key and R key at the same time, type in appdata and then press enter.

How has that error been displayed? It sounds like it could be a hardware issue, rather than a problem with the game. Regardless, if you have the game installed via Steam I would recommend trying this support article.
