Yea, you will have lost all your stash and crafting materials though.

I went through and deleted a bunch of items that were causing the loading bugs so here is a version that is at least most of your stuff back if you want.Epoch_Local_Global_Data_Beta.txt (35.3 KB)

Edit: we also have a fix for this problem for the next patch.

I’ve just tested this and Sightless Eyes seem to be working fine. Are their projectiles definitely hitting you? It’s possible that their projectiles might be being blocked by something in the level before they hit you, or similar.

Could you post a screenshot of where this happens if it happens again? Thanks.

That’s very strange-- I’ve tried to reproduce this issue internally and could not. When you say you removed the skills, did you remove them from your bar, despecialize from them, or both? Either way I would expect a game restart to fix it.

Unfortunately I’m not seeing any mentions of the chat in your log file. The log file gets overwritten when the game restarts (or at least copied to player-prev). Are you sure chat was broken during those log files?

You should have a file called Epoch_Local_Global_Data_Beta in your saves folder, can you send me that? Edit: and the temp version too please.

The global data save is unaffected by reinstalling the game.

ok, looks like it’s erroring on loading your stash. If you send me your global data file I might be able to fix it. Bit of a long shot but I can try.

Edit: I should also double check, have you made any manual changes to your global data?

ok, could you try signing in and then opening the settings before selecting a character and revert all keyboard mapping to default? The errors that I’m seeing are related to the keyboard mapping system. Resetting it to defaults might help?

If both the temp file and normal file are the same, unfortunately there’s no way to recover the data. Apologies for that.

I’ve responded in the thread you made, but for general reference the location log files are stored may be hidden on your OS by default.

On Windows you likely need to enable Hidden Items in File Explorer. Or, press the Windows key and R key at the same time, type in appdata and then hit enter.

Sorry about this! We’re working on a full solution to this problem. In the meantime, as Llama8 mentioned, there is a temp file. Saves are located in a Saves subfolder at the place log files are stored, and there is an additional copy of each save.

Look for a file that’s corrupted (likely appears empty or made of 0’s when opened). Delete the corrupted file, then remove “_temp” from the name of the backup file.

We fixed some causes of chat problems in 0.7.7f and the chat was fine for us after several hours of testing. Your log file should help us find remaining issues.

I do realize it’s frustrating, but we do need information to solve the problem if it isn’t happening internally.

Looks like there is an error when the character is loading. We need to get in to your player.log file to help you solve this. More info on how to do this can be found at support.lastepochgame.com
